Saw this on RT earlier. Looks like a good follow up to Machine Girl and Tokyo Gore Police.

FRIED SHRIMP.

That was the best part! But Iguchi lost me with the impracticality of butt wielding kitana swords. Drill bras and "alligator" legs are two things but the acid wet nursing and Geisha "Fembots" are crossing the line!

It's an interesting market. Just wish all the "clever" parts could be done in over with in 15 minutes ...sort of like the short 'Reject or Death' was to Meatball Machine. At least Meatball Machine attempted a plot ...Geisha looks like it barely has any room for one.

Yeah, and they called them Hip Kitana! What-Ever!!! Truly though, these movies should be no longer than 70 minutes.

Re: RoboGeisha aka "The Greatest Movie Trailer Ever"

I thought Machine Girl was a great Japanese exploitation flick.

I thought Tokyo Gore Police was boring as fuck. I fell asleep while watching the movie numerous times despite how every minute of the film would just try and outdo the minute previously in both the gore and weirdness category.

If this is more like Machine Girl, great. If it's more like Tokyo Gore Police, pass.

I feel like I saw everything I need to see in the trailer. Pretty cool for a couple of minutes, but I don't need 90 minutes of it.

My favorite part of that trailer is the voice-over guy. I can't stop laughing from just the first line "Geisha.....is....Japernise grrllllll"

Re: RoboGeisha aka "The Greatest Movie Trailer Ever"

I'm rather partial to Aya Kiguchi, but they lost me when she turned half tank.

I do have to give them props for "Fried Shrimp" and that voiceover dude

But honestly, I'd really want a movie about Samurai Robot.

Same here. I liked the trailer. But that 3-or-so minutes was enough for me. Pending some startling reviews, I'll never watch this movie.

Re: RoboGeisha aka "The Greatest Movie Trailer Ever"

^ I guess that's why they spelled out everything he said.

This movie looks like an 'R' rated Mighty Morphin Power Rangers movie.

I can't see myself ever watching this but I did like the girl getting stabbed in the ass while she was on all fours.

have to agree with you there.

I realize films like this are simply an extension of Japan's long-standing tradition of pinky movies, plus a way for some special FX geeks to have a little wink-wink fun, but they sure to start to blend after a while, don't they? I've never bought one of the U.S. releases of any of them, but sampled a few Hong Kong DVDs early in the cycle and got my fill fairly quickly. Many of the girls who star in these flicks come from the ranks of hardcore pornography (and no, one doesn't have to see the stuff to know this ), thus the severely limited acting abilities of most of them, except during screw scenes, of course. Someone else also hinted at this, but most of these pictures (TOKYO GORE POLICE, GIRLS COMPETITIVE SWIMMERS, ONEECHANBARA, SUKEBAN BOY, NARUTA, etc.) are little more than a series of increasingly "crazy" shock sequences and "gonzo" ideas with extremely dull exposition in between (made all the more dull by the use of such talentless "actresses"). I've seen enough such pictures to do me, even though I've barely scratched the surface, but now I'm beginning to think I've seen enough trailers, too!
