Balloons in movies

You know, the movie "Up" has gotten me to thinking about how many of the classic films we know and love feature balloons. I think this video says it all.

When are we going to get the AFI tribute to the 100 Greatest Balloon Movies?

Wasn't there a balloon scene in Rat Race? I think the cow gets tangled up in it. One of the funniest movies I've seen!

That video was great. The final Casablanca scene was the best!

Re: Balloons in movies

a very overlooked and underrated film i just watched: 'Arizona Dream' - with Johnny Depp and Vincent Gallo.

there's a symbolic red balloon floating around in numerous scenes. i highly recommend this one if you like directing work very akin to that of Terry Gilliam. it's almost like the movie Jesus' Son as if Gilliam directed it.
