^ They actually did them for all of the SW prequels. They don't do them that often, unless it is for a movie they feel might sell well to fans of a certain genre. The Abyss had one written by Orson Scott Card, and Hook had one written by Terry Goodkind.

The first 3 Alien's all had books, not sure about the 4th one. Alan Dean Foster seems to specialize in this kind of literature.

supposedly Fox is back on board with releasing films in 7.1 sound, 'Prometheus' and the new Ice Age movie - now if Fox does what they done with their other 7.1 films and only release them in 5.1 on the bluray version - I'll kick a puppy.

^ My guess is they are hoping it gets good word of mouth and sticks around . However, even if it gets glowing reviews , it faces an uphill battle. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that if this movie disappoints financially, it could very well mean the end of the big-budget non-comedy rated R movie in the summer, or any other time for that matter.

I'm inclined to agree w/ Dr. DVD. If this fails. It could mean a lot to the industry. Which would suck for us. Cuz...if it fails. The chance of seeing Del Toro's At The Mountains of Madness is essentially destroyed.
