Re: Reynolds to reprise Deadpool in "X-Men" spin-off?
It's more of a question as to how many pouches and ammo pockets any of those legs is equipping.

Just make the fucking movie and slap an R rating on it. PG-13 kids shit is a waste. Kids are setting themselves on fire these days for fun. Sure they can handle R rated movies now

Twentieth Century Fox and Marvel Comics' are moving ahead with their long-gestating X-Men spin-off Deadpool.
On Thursday, the studio announced that the movie will hit theaters Feb. 12, 2016. Tim Miller is set to direct the film, with Ryan Reynolds long rumored to star, although no deal is set. Bets are that he will.

The "leaked" video for this put it over the top, huh? Brilliant move Fox.

I just hope it's a hard R rated movie with enough budget to give it plenty of quality action.

I wonder how they are going to reconcile the Deadpool movie with Wolverine Origins.

If they can keep the budget relatively low, I can see them going with the R rating. I seem to recall Reynolds stating he wouldn't do the movie unless it was R. Given his devotion to the character I wouldn't be surprised if he does this at a lower price.

He could also say that a film director messed up the movie storyline and another ret-conned it to make everything fit. Given that a lot of Origins took place after Days of Future Past, that's very plausible.

In terms of action and violence yeah but heaven forbid a film drops more than a few swear words or it has to be rated R. Such an ass backwards rating system in this country. Honestly I really hope this is R because I feel that's the only way to really do the character any justice. I think it could happen since this isn't a Marvel Studios release and Disney doesn't get to step in to pander to the kids, but I still wonder if Fox will actually spring for it or not. I'm cautiously optimistic on this film.

Even so its not like its hard to figure out considering that the Marvel Studios films have crossed over with each other or will whereas there's no mention of the characters from the Fox or Sony films.

Normally, yes, but DVDTalk members tend to skew more to the hardcore side.
Plus, the Marvel movies are a bit different because everyone should know Marvel doesn't have the rights of Spidey, FF, or X-Men since they cannot be used in the MCU.

"I heard from the director [Tim Miller] that they finally figured out the script, and it was right before this was announced, that they figured out, and you guys are all going to hate this, that they figured out how to make it PG-13 and therefore not lose its soul - that's a quote - of the script so they can make it."

This really shouldn't be a surprise. A character introduced to general audiences in an X-Men film is not going to get an R-rating.
