I just kind of assume every movie he makes is going to be at least 3 hours long.

Oddly, he's only made one movie that's actually three hours long (Wolf of Wall Street). Though Casino is only a couple minutes shy.

Despite being one of the most anticipated films of the year, “Silence” didn’t have an official release date until this morning. It’s now been confirmed that Martin Scorsese’s period drama will go into limited release on December 23, just in time to qualify for award season, before expanding in January. The celebrated filmmaker’s adaptation of Shūsaku Endō’s novel of the same name concerns two Jesuit priests in the 1670s who travel from Portugal to Japan, where their proselytizing isn’t well received.

Question: When the trailer two posts above ends, there's a screen of nine links to other videos. On my screen, five of those links are J-pop-related, music videos or promotional clips featuring two of my favorite J-pop acts. I imagine the links are tailored to each individual's history of YouTube use and I'm guessing the rest of you are seeing completely different links to other YT videos. Is that so?

Marty must've dug deep for funding, this thing has 18 executive producers and 7 producers.
It's also the first screenplay Scorsese has contributed to since Casino in 1995.

Official premiere is tomorrow in the Vatican, and it comes out on Dec 23rd (limited). Probably expands in early Jan.

Need to sneak it in this year so it qualifies for the Oscars.
