So if your problem is with the character, can't help you there. but I think Robbie is playing the role quite well (just based on clips i've seen), and actually not as cutesy as the cartoon or video games.

My problem is that Robbie's voice is not even close to that. Just as Conroy or Hamill are the definitive voices for their characters, so is Arleen's rendition, which has been copied by Hynden to Tara. To hear Robbie kind of float in and out of that voice.. meh, it's like Costner and his English accent.

Yeah I agree about Robbie's Harley voice. I've gotten used to the look they went with for the character but her delivery doesn't do much for me. It's just not close to how Harley has sounded and feels artificial. You can tell Robbie is trying but it just doesn't really sound how it should.

Wow. I wish I had not watched that clip. Now doubting Leto again. I agree with your sentiments. That small clip played horribly and the dialogue and interaction was horrible. Hopefully not indicative of the whole movie. The more I see Robbie the less I am feeling her in the role. She looks the part, but it feels too OTT without the crazy.

Hmmmmm, I feel the opposite. I think from what I've seen, she looks and sounds good. I think she's not as over-the-top as the cartoon voice. But I also think any real-life portrayal of Harley would feel off, because she's such a caricature.

And I think that cartoon voice would get grating over the course of 2 hours.

Yep, people would complain about that voice too...

Robbie seemed fine to me in that clip, and there wasn't enough shown for me to really judge either.

Yeah, clip seemed fine to me. It doesn't seem that far off from something that could have been in the animated series in my opinion.

I thought the clip was okay but Harley's voice bothers me. I actually think that'll be equally as annoying as a voice similar to the animated voice would be. At least that would be distinctive though and something we're used to. Not sure what it is about Robbie' voice but it has a weird quality to it. It's almost kind of whiny yet she's trying to play it like she's bad but it still comes off innocent and kind of fake.

You know, everyone is drooling over Robbie...but Cara Delevingne (Enchantress) is not bad at all.

Robbie's voice isn't bothering me so much, and whilst I appreciate the cartoon voice I could see it grating over the course of a feature length movie. It just seems the actual portrays of the character might let it down. This is why Ledger did such a phenomenal job with the Joker, it's an easy role to take to expected places and give a predictable over the top acting job, but he gave it such an amazing twist in the look, attitude and characterization. I realize that this is the first big screen appearance for the character, but I would hope that they would give us something unexpected with the character to some extent, and to truly make her and the Joker feel menacing and truly crazy. Neither give off that vibe in any trailer. So far it feels a very forced amateur dramatics type of crazy. Robbie looks the part, but not sure she will bring a lot to the role other than that.

She's bi-sexual. I had read that rumor that she was fucking Brad Pitt behind Jolie's back or some shit. But damn, I would not mind being the meat in that Michelle Rodriguez/Cara Delevingne sandwich.

I agree. I just can't get past the Joker having a "I'm a gangsta" look. It totally ruins the character IMO. Between that and Will Smith, my hype meter is pretty low for this film.

Warners set about working on a different cut, with an assist from Trailer Park, the company that had made the teaser.

Ya gotta love Hollywood's budget/profit margin hopes on this one. 750-800 million to be in the clear? For Suicide Squad? Yeah, fucking right. They'd love that amount so that they can line their pockets but no fucking way do you need that much to be considered a success.
