Wonder how long until Smith and Hardy sign on. I have to assume Smith's contract would be the toughest, though.

Won't be as hard as it used to be. Big Willie's stock isn't what it once was, but he's still the big man in the room.

Re: Suicide Squad (WB/DC) - News, Rumors, Cast, etc.

I only took notice of this movie when the Jared Leto rumour came out and was shocked when it read that the Joker wouldn't be appearing in Dawn of Justice, but in a film I had never fucking heard of. Gotta say the synopsis is intriguing and I like the choice of Leto better than Gosling and a lot of other young actors out there. Although I still say the absolute BEST possible actor they could cast as The Joker would be Michael Keaton. He just reminded EVERYONE in Birdman what a great actor he is, plus I think he could REALLY nail the character of Joker, PLUS it would be AMAZING for the cinematic mythology of Batman if Keaton played both characters in his lifetime. Similar to how cool it would have been if Daniel Craig did a Bond film with Connery as the villain. Its stuff like that, that would send fanboys into convulsions.

I'm not a fan of Margot Robbie. I like her body but there are better actresses out there that are equally hot. I'm rather meh on her casting.

I honestly don't know what to expect out of a Quinn live action role. I know the character from her start to where she is now. I don't really guess much out of it really. I guess Robbie is a good casting for it. She is wildly attractive, holy fuck was that a hell of a reveal in WoWS. I need to know more about what they're actually going to do w/ it before I can really say something about the production.

She didn't impress me at all in that flick. Sure, she looked hot. But any random hot chick could have delivered the same type of ho-hum performance she did.

Re: Suicide Squad (WB/DC) - News, Rumors, Cast, etc.

I haven't seen enough of Robbie other then Wolf of Wall Street, but I don't think anything fancy is necessary to play Harley. At least based on the versions i've seen in the animated series or the video games

I wonder if Actors know a difference between Marvel, Warner, and other super hero properties or if they just assume comic book movies are popular now and are happy to do them regardless.

Did she impress anybody with her acting? She did solid work for it but it's not like the character had a lot of range to with either.

Too meta, both examples would pull people out of the movie.

Jai Courtney Eyed for Batman Villain Deadshot in ‘Suicide Squad’ (EXCLUSIVE)

“Terminator: Genesys” star Jai Courtney is in talks for a major role in Warner Bros.’ “Suicide Squad” that could prove to be Batman villain Deadshot, sources tell Variety.

Tom Hardy, Will Smith, Margot Robbie and Jared Leto are also in various stages of discussions to join the super-villainous movie, which is being written and directed by “Fury” filmmaker David Ayer.

“Suicide Squad,” produced by Charles Roven, will be released in summer 2016.

Warner Bros. had no comment on this story.

Courtney is blander than Sam Worthington, yet he keeps getting big work.

IDK, as a villain and amongst an ensemble, he'd be OK. Whomever Smith is playing, Leto as Joker and Eisenberg's Lex Luthor will take the bulk of the spotlight.

Not quite. It was stated a while back that Deadshot will be the main protagonist of the movie. That means that Jai Courtney is being offered the lead role.

Ah ok. I'm still fine with it with the hopes Ayer can get a good performance out of him.

So is this going to be a straight-up supervillain team-up?

All I'm hearing is Joker, Lex Luthor, Harley Quinn...

Just what the world wanted -- more Jai Courtney.

Why is Hollywood shoving him down our throats?

Because it worked out so well with Shia LaBeouf.

I love that apparently Will Smith is playing Captain Boomerang. I wonder if they'll play up the racism but towards white folk.
