Any thoughts on the teaser before Inglourious Basterds?
This was DEFINITELY my favorite of the new trailers they had, in fact it looks more James Cameron-esque than Avatar does in a way. Way the trailer was presented I got vibes of The Matrix, Blade Runner, and most importantly Strange Days. Looks awesome.

I loved the teaser! It did everything it was supposed to. It's funny how Nolan's movies now have a definite look to them. When I saw the shot of DiCaprio on top of the building in the heavy overcoat, I just knew it was a Nolan film.

I thought the teaser kind of sucked... nothing overly cool in it and the text was eye roll inducing. I'm glad to see Nolan go back to a sort of mindfuck movie like Memento but on a Dark Knight scale. I'm sure later trailers will start to impress but this teaser didn't do the movie any favours IMO... People in my theatre were overheard saying "what the fuck was that - looks lame".

I thought it was funny in that after the teaser for this which was a complete WTF? we got the trailer for the awful-looking "Armored" which gives away the entire movie in it's awful trailer.

I literally, didn't even know this movie existed until I saw the teaser before IB last night. It sooooooooo worked as a teaser (at least for me), I leaned over & said, "I have no clue what the hell that movie is about, but I need to see it right now."
I'm not a DiCaprio hater at all, but it's weird how he is still so polarizing w/ men. One of my friends just instantly dismissed the movie b/c he is in it.

Poor Leo. My friends are the same way, yet they loved Blood Diamond, Aviator, Departed and so on. I just think it's really hard for people to take him seriously, though he seems to be one of the most well grounded people in Hollywood, IMO.

I ended up seeing Basterds today so I saw the trailer. Not bad from what I saw, hard to tell much from the trailer so I'm looking forward to seeing more.

Saw the teaser again before IB. The people behind me said "We're gonna have to see that one!" as soon as it ended.

Yahoo should be releasing it later today.

I've never understood that. I think Leo is a good actor, and I enjoy a lot of his films. I don't check his IMDB page to see what he's going to be in, but when a trailer comes up and he's in it, it will usually be a good movie. Shutter Island look good, I'm sure Inception will be also. But mostly I see his movies because he works with great directors. Spielburg, Scorsese, Cameron, Nolan, etc...

Leo is always going to be that "pretty boy from Titanic" for a lot of people. I don't think he really won me over until Departed, despite good performances in things like Catch Me if you Can.
