Apparently it's not a comedy but rather a serious horror movie with just a little humor. Whether that's good or bad is the question.
They say it's pretty gory though

Nazi zombies? Hell yeah! Doubtful that this will come to my neck of the woods, but I finally got a region-free DVD player last night.

Anyway, the trailer sold me. It looks pretty good. Zombies in full dress Nazi uniforms that run, give dirty looks, and throw punches? Frickin' sweet!

And I'm 1/4 Norwegian, so I got that going for me.

There was a movie called Shock Waves from the late 70s or early 80s. It was about underwater Nazi zombies that live off the coast of Florida. It had Peter Cushing in it. Pretty good, if I remember.

That was just a minor earthquake - no real "attraction" so to speak. Peter Cushing and John Carradine - good stuff.

I bought the DVD for the ridiculousness of the alternate clothed scenes. Most. Ridiculous. Special. Feature. EVER!! Downright hilarious.

IFC has a film division.. I'm sure it will get a small theatrical release then makes it's way to DVD before it goes On Demand.

It is. Not great, but good enough. The characters are annoying, though. Plus, they use CG blood which looks distracting especially when it splatters on Snow.

Other than that, it's a recommendation.

Quite the opposite- this film is very close in tone to Evil Dead 2 for the first half, then careens right into Army of Darkness style slapstick by the climax, though it retains all the gore one could want. Homages to Sam Raimi's style are quite evident.

It starts off quite slow with annoying characters as LickTheABCs mentioned, and I figured they must have had a tiny budget based on how much it relies on cutaways during zombie attacks in the first act. There is a massively satisfying kill that alleviates that concern, however, and helps you realize the film is far better enjoyed when taken for laughs. Thanks to this, I'd definitely recommend seeing it with a rowdy crowd- you won't be missing any deep drama, and the gorefest payoff is well worth a communal atmosphere. The more alcohol, the better.

ugh, I can't stand CG blood, it blatantly looks fake IMO.
