Both were the best sequels in their series but I have to give the edge too Rambo for shear entertainment value (and the .50 kills of course).

I haven't seen Rambo, but I have to agree on hasslein on Rocky Balboa.

What a joke.

Rocky Balboa is infinitely better. This one scene is better than anything in all two hours of Rambo

Hated both. Rambo has to be the worst movie I've seen this year(Yes I've seen The Happening). Terrible direction, terrible acting, lousy script. And having to look at Stallones HGH enlarged head for an hour and a half is sheer torture.

Rocky Balboa, just because it provided the right closure to the series. I had always hated they were going to end it with the depressing and just plain bad Rocky V.

Rambo isn't bad, but it's such a different tone from any of the other films that it was a bit jarring for me. Going for the darker, more brutal approach is perhaps a better extreme for 2008 than the opposite extreme (the cartoonishness of Rambo: First Blood Part 2), but I'd have still preferred the perfect balance between the two that we got in the original First Blood.

I really like both, but went with Rocky. Just feels more connected to the first two films (III and IV were fun, but very cartoony....5 was just terrible). In my mind it's a trilogy of I, II and VI.

Rambo works better as a direct sequel to First Blood (although I enjoyed part 2). Like he disappeared after prison to get away from it all and he get's a chance for redemption (face it, both sides acted wrongly in First Blood).

Only saw Rocky Balboa, and it was surprisingly tolerable.

Put me in the camp that loved both of them. Rocky Balboa was a nice ending to a movie icon that I have loved and grew up with since I was a kid. Very sentimental drama and if you love the character, you will likely love this movie.

Rambo (and I agree, he should have stuck with the title John Rambo) was all kinds of kick-ass. A complete 180 from Rocky Balboa...this was non-stop action with bodies flying, heads bursting, and bullets whizzing! Bang zoom! This movie will knock your socks off if you like action. And if you play the BD with a decent sound system, you may have the cops knocking on your door. Awesome!

If you twisted my arm, I would likely choose Rocky Balboa for the sentimental adult in me. They are just two completely different kinds of movies and are difficult to compare to one another.

I found BALBOA a depressing, sad movie.
Where RAMBO had him still in charge and a happy ending.

Love them both, more of a fan of Rocky overall so that gets my nod. Tough comparing the two though really, except for Stallone's involvement.

This echoes my feelings as well. Both movies were really good. Other than aging a few decades Rambo was still the war machine. On the flip side, seeing an aged, over the hill Rocky, with no Adrian anymore, was a very depressing take on the character. It was a much better end to the series than Rocky 5 though.

I'm also glad that Stallone is going to make Rambo 5. I really do enjoy the concept and character. Maybe he'll call it John Rambo this time.

Why do you hate Stallone so much?

I can't believe they are about tied (my vote just broke a tie which was at 24-24).

Rocky is about three orders of magnitude better.
