OK, it took me 15 posts to get the sarcasm.

Put me and gmal2003 in the "love Unbreakable" camp. But while I used to want a sequel, I don't want to see one made now. Not after Lady in the Water, which was one of the most biggest movie let downs ever. The reviews of The Happening were so universally panned that I didn't even bother.

LOL sorry bud..... But I feel dirty now. I watch the Happening last night. Call it low expections, call it me just being bored, but I didn't find it horrible like others have suggested.

Unbreakable=Great. Loved this movie first time I saw it. It makes real life superheroes and villians seem almost possible.

I always wished he had continued with his trilogy idea way back when. Last flick of his that I saw was The Village. Although I saw the ending coming a mile a way, it was still decent. Have caught bits and pieces of Lady in the Water, but not enough to comment on it.

I enjoyed Lady in the Water 100% more than the Village.

For me The Happening fell into the so awful it's entertaining category. Though part of the entertainment is derived from watching a film so utterly self important and clumsy from a man who seems to deem himself as a cinematic god... It's like laughing at those douche bags on the hot chicks with D-bags site.

I'd say The Happening is my second favorite M. Knight movie (if I end up picking it up this week it'd be the only MKS movie I own) after Unbreakable (does anyone even like that one?). Admittedly I am not a big fan of his... but I do really think Unbreakable is pretty sharp.

I would love to see a successful sequel, but I'm not so sure. M. Night's track-record over the past few years (I'll include "Signs", which I thought was horrible) would mean that pretty much everything would be riding on this project. If it bombs, I don't know if his career (not to mention his feelings) could recover.

If it does materialize, I can't imagine a plot without Mr. Glass. Maybe he fakes his own death, then dedicates himself to spearheading a villian to challenge the hero he has discovered. Could be interesting.

I don't know, it just seems far easier to fuck it up then it would be to nail it. I wish him luck.

Thanks Corvin I think it had more to do with the character interactions and me liking Giamati's work.

Oh, and I've yet to meet another person who enjoyed this movie. Such a lonely feeling to be the only one.

I've enjoyed most of his movies, so I'm not against seeing a sequel. I haven't seen The Happening yet, though.

Only Lady in the Water really flopped. The Happening was TOTAL SHIT, but it made $163 million worldwide.

I actually liked Shyamalan's movies...until The Happening. I really liked Signs...I liked the Village...I thought Lady in the Water was okay, but I didn't hate it the way many did....and then The Happening had a cool sounding plot. I was hearing negative things, but I thought it was just people being down on him as usual, but ugh...The Happening was the worst movie I have seen all year. It just sucked so badly.

Guess i'm the only person who really liked Unbreakable as it is in my 10 favorite all time films.

Plus wouldnt "broken" be a bad title, he was already a broken man in the first movie.

No kidding. In a related vein to a possible sequel to this, I can't go back and watch Spider-Man 2 or X2 because the third installments were so dreadful.

On topic, I'm not too excited about this possibility, especially given his recent track record...

I'm up for a sequel as long as Willis is back and M.Night sticks to directing only. I can't stand his bullshit speaking roles that he assigns to himself.

I'm still waiting for the one where he says, "Thank you, come again" At least we'll know he has a sense of humor.
