I dunno. I too feel a bit too long has passed.
Bruce Willis and Sam L aren't the stars they once were.
Doesn't mean it couldn't be a good movie, but doubtful it is a blockbuster.

His last two movies have been fairly well received after a string of duds, and Split has already done really well at the Box Office. I'm not so sure the well has really dried up.
Unbreakable wasn't that huge of a hit anyway making $95 million domestic, so while it's way late for a true sequel i'm sure expectations wouldn't be that great anyway.

I assume you disagree and consider Unbreakable a huge hit? To me it's a fairly successful movie with slightly above average reviews and a decent, almost cult, fan following. And I really love it too, i'm not trying to diminish it in any way

Considering Unbreakable was the film that benefited the most from the Sixth Sense phenomenon 95M domestic really isn't that much.

It's not that interesting, I just generally pay more attention to domestic figures unless worldwide makes a significant difference (like Warcraft or Pacific Rim). In this case, I didn't really affect my conclusion in the context of my post.

I just think when giving box office totals, why only give part of it? If someone asked you how much money you make would you only give 3 months instead of 12?
That's all I meant. Carry on...

Can we not talk about movies that aren't "Glass".
Split hasn't been made available to rent for those who don't buy movies or go to the movies.

I doubt it will work all that well but I really liked both Unbreakable and Split so I will be there.

Damn. This is a movie-I-thought-would-never-happen. Shyamalan getting some credit back after The Happening.
How about a straight Ghostbusters sequel? Or take me back to before those two new disappointing Die Hard movies.

Hmm ... what concerns me is Jason Blum's involvement. I mean, of course that was going to happen, but Blumhouse's MO is cheap-cheap-cheap. Doesn't matter how much money it may make or how many awards it may win -- you don't get a dime over your initial (already lowball) budget.
In theory these films should lend themselves to that formula, but it still concerns me.

I'm actually really into this idea. However, its strange, if it wasn't for Split, I'd have next to no interest.

With Split, Shaymalan finally has some critical respect back, and combining two his best films into one universe could be fascinating.
