Role Models (Wain, 2008) Paul Rudd, Sean William Scott Comedy
This movie started to get some discussion going in the Forgetting Sarah Marshall thread so I thought I'd start one of it's own.
I think this movie looks pretty hilarious and if you haven't seen the redband trailer, it's definitely worth watching. I thought the original trailer gave the hint of a sacarine, PG-13 affair but the newest trailer is definitely R rated. This one is produced by Luke Greenfield (Girl Next Door, Aliens in America) and directed by David Wain (I liked Wet Hot American Summer but didn't really care for The Ten).

I thought the greenband trailer looked funny enough for me to want to see it, so I'm passing on watching the redband trailer (which by all accounts is twice as funny) and saving those jokes for the movie.
David Wain + Paul Rudd + Elizabeth Banks = Awesome.

"Beyonce pouring sugar on my dick"
I had already seen the 'regular' trailer and was in but now I'm really in.
My prediction:
It will be hilarious and chock full o laffs in the 1st hour or so, then it'll lose steam and get all mushy til the end. Don't get me wrong, it'll still be good but let's face it....That's just how this genre of film usually works out.

When someone says this:
It's painfully obvious that some people consider even quotes spoilers - as the whole point of a joke is to see it in context in the movie. So while you may not think anything was spoiled, realize that you are not the only person with an opinion on the matter.
I don't it's too much to ask for people to respect the concept of pre-release discussion with appropriate spoilerized material for the benefit of all. Those that want to see it have the option to see it while those that don't aren't forced to nor must they avoid the thread entirely.

I saw it last night at a screening, and was pleased all around. Not as good as a lot of the Apatow stuff, but nearly everyone was laughing at the jokes throughout. It is very predictable, but what else would you expect.
There are two female topless scenes to keep some interest around as well.

The red band trailer is pretty much how the movie is the whole time. Plus there's boobies.

Saw this at a screening last night. Overall I liked it for what it is, but wished it hadn't followed formula to a T. You know exactly whats going to happen, when its going to happen, and how everything will end up. Would it kill the filmmakers to at least TRY to make something that isn't wholly predictable? That said, there are a lot of huge laughs and was just an entertaining good time at the movies.

the red band trailer made it look far better than the original trailer.

The film is definitely on my radar now after having read Patrick Goldstein's column in today's L.A. Times. Goldstein claims Rudd's performance is Oscar-worthy.
