"Burn After Reading" - Clooney, Pitt, Coen Brothers

Just heard about this.

I am totally in.

Clooney calls it the end of his "Idiot" trilogy with the Coen Brothers.

Strangely, the Coen brothers aren't using Roger Deakins as their DP and going with Emmanuel Lubezki.

Also stars John Malkovich, Frances McDormand and Tilda Swinton.

Burn After Reading (New Coen Bros. movie): Clooney, Pitt, McDormand, Malkovich

Trailer in HD here

First of all, "From the creators of No Country for Old Men and The Big Lebowski" is all I need to know to guarantee my interest. That, and they're riding high off No Country, and the movie looks pretty goddamned funny.

Not sure if it will touch the zenith of Lebowski, but if there's any indication we'll get plenty of f-bombs and a shitload of insane humor.

And the cast! Clooney, McDormand, Malkovich, Pitt, Tilda Swinton, Richard Jenkins, J.K. Simmons, and I THINK I spotted David Huddleston (the other Jeff Lebowski). That's three Oscar winners right off the bat, and it looks like Brad Pitt's playing his most idiotic role since laying on a couch for eternity smoking weed in True Romance. And this movie has Sledge Hammer himself, David Rasche!!!

I'm already psyched for this one.

"Written, produced, and directed by Joel and Ethan Coen." I wonder why they've changed this after so many years.

I love it when Pitt plays the buffoon.

And where the hell's Sledgehammer been until now?

So when's this coming out? Nov./Dec.?

I think the first one they changed it for was The Ladykillers.

Looks hilarious. I was greatly amused by Pitt's way over-the-top-ness.

Looks fuckin' sweet. This is in my top 5 to see for the year now. Looks like Pitt's primed to steal the show. His character looks awesomely stupid.

It also helps when one of the biggest theater chains in the nation has no problems showing them now.

I think thats why we're getting so many red bands lately.

That and I wholly believe thats why Superbad was a success.

Looks awesome. The Coens rarely let me down!

It's funny seeing Clooney and Swinton together like that after watching Michael Clayton.

It isn't so different, just a natural continuation. They're still screwing each other, just physically this time.

But yeah I thought the same thing.

Got a Pineapple Express vibe from the trailer. Looks like there will be some really interesting movies coming out this year.
