The only movie I can think of that I actively "hate" is American Beauty. It annoyed the shit out of me. It's about one tenth as clever and perceptive as it believes itself to be. Watching it, it becomes clear that it was directed by an arrogant, patronizing Englishman who despises American suburbanites, despite having never actually met any.

American Pie movies -- Where oh where did the smart comedies like Caddyshack and Animal House go? The first comedy I've really laughed at in 20 years was Superbad.

Sideways- A lame wine movie.
2001- This movie is a complete joke.
A Clockwork Orange- Another joke. Disgusting movie.
The Incredibles- Not funny at all.
A New World- The writers must have been on strike while writing this one.
Matrix Reloaded/Revolutions- Same as the New World.

I know a lot of people don't like 2001, but this might be the first time I've ever heard someone criticize its production design.

Napoleon Dynamite.....Very annoying film and I don't see why it was so popular especially amongst teenagers and the 20-something crowd.
I didn't hate it, but I thought Juno was a really overrated film.
Why am I not surprised that so many people here hate mainstream summer blockbuster films? The only one that I really hated was Lara Croft Tomb Raider. That was a really noisy film that left me feeling empty after I left the theatre.
Okay I can understand that John Woo's directing style may not be for everyone, but to say that all his films suck is pure sacriledge. He was one of the main reasons why I became interested in Chinese/Hong Kong cinema. Bullet in the Head, The Killer and Hard Boiled are masterpieces. Face/Off is probably the closest American version to one of his Hong Kong works.

I'm gonna add quite a bit of Hitchcock. He has some awesome stuff (Vertigo, Rope, Strangers on a Train, N by NW, etc.). But he also put out some overvalued crap. About a third of his Masterpiece Collection lives up to the name, while the other stuff is just filler. He's like the Raymond Chandler of film: the good stuff is the best around, while the mediocre stuff is derivative and boring.
For more modern stuff, Apatow's "formula" is sickeningly familiar and boring. He makes overly long films about jokes we all make. And, personally, it's a hell of a lot more funny when I make the intellectually bankrupt disabled-person joke. Apatow's a goddamn schill with above-average organizational skills. He's a secretary, filing society's laughs into tidy little bins which can be opened to please any numb-minded constituency.

2 movies I truly despised that always seemed to be held in such high regard are Babel and Thin Red Line.
Years ago we had so many discussions of how deep TRL was and how much better it was than Saving Private Ryan. I tried watching it twice and fell asleep both times.
Babel- what an overly long piece of crap that thing was. I liked the premise. I just hated what the director did with the material. Every scene seemed to go on twice as long as it needed to to get the point across.

Spielberg's stuff after the 70's. Shock?? Well it's true, i only like Duel, Jaws, Raiders. When he starts to turn "serious" and stretch into other genres, along the lines of Coppola, Scorsese, Altman etc. i just find it to be sappy, workmanstyle. He's best when just doing spectacle and not trying to make you think. He's great when making minimal budget raw action fare though.

Any movie that gives Samuel L. Jackson more than four lines.

Movies you hate that everyone around you loves
I hate Top Gun. To me, it's emptier and more shallow than every Michael Bay movie put together. Yet, I hear many people and even other movies quote this movie like its the fucking gospel. I will never know what Top Gun has to offer. What movies do you hate that others just seem to love?
