34 of the Best Modern Opening Sequences

Ok. I've compile together what I think are the best modern opening titles in a movie. Enjoy the clips below:

-Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nb8Wn2ZM48Y
-Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcyxSXRTwzI
-Part 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=irkED1-Ep1s
-Part 4: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kpIgFI0MVXA
-Part 5: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYMV645RZnA
-Part 6: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDkCoJu6o_k
-Part 7: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kCKRYIj0dEw
-Part 8: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lJyDOjtV5O0
-Part 9: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l9XB53Ux5lk

Also, I had a little law trouble with Fox because I used some of their movies' credits and they wouldn't allow it so "Fight Club," "Daredevil," 'Thank You For Smoking," "Alien 4," and "The Day After Tomorrow" are off the list (unfortunately). Oh, and I didn't include any 007 movies or Hitchcock films because they'll probably fill up the whole list.

I would have included Death Proof. Feelings for the movie aside, that is one opening that should always get a person jazzed up and ready for a fun experience.

Good God, most of that list sucks. I would never put Superman Returns solely based that it's a revamp of the original Superman credits, I still like the Returns credits though. Would've gone with the original, personally speaking.

Nope. Catch Me If You Can is NOT on there. Yeah, I don't have that DVD and since most of everyone's other list included that movie, I tried not to put it there.

Anybody who includes "The Day After Tomorrow" and "Daredevil" as an example of anything good has no film knowledge whatsoever.

I doubt 25th Hour is on there neither. Beautiful score, with the lights from WTC shining to the sky.

In an effort to redeem this sad excuse for a thread:

The Kingdom, IMO, does have a cool opening sequence, if you include the little animated history lesson. I also remember liking the titles of The Man Who Knew Too Little, with the little stick-man, and Superbad's were pretty awesome. But yeah, most of the list is pretty lame.

Have you even seen the opening credits for those movie? Have you? I mean, really, have you? The Day After Tomorrow had a beautiful score with the beautiful opening credits. It was just lovely. I think it can also be seen with Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth."

Uhh...sure? Like I said, if I included movies that many other people already had, there's no point to put it on this list again. It's just like putting in extra wasted space. I wanted to put other movies that weren't yet recognized as having beautiful opening credits scene. If you get what I'm saying...but then again, these are also the movies I have on DVD. I didn't bother to put Se7en (I have the DVD) because it can already be seen on youtube.

And to everyone else, if you hate my list so much, please, go ahead by all means, make your own. That's exactly the reason why I did it. I compiled a list of what I THINK are my top favorites. If you hate mines so much, make your own. Nobody is going to stop you except 20th Century Fox.

If you want my opinion of the best or one of the best in my list, I would go with "Vacancy." If you don't have the time to watch all 9 parts, watch "Vacancy," at least. I love that one.

Or your unecessary post, troll. You are one of those people who don't respect peoples' opinions, right? Ignorant people.

Several of those films are not from this century.
