The original Robo suit never made much sense to me anyway since I never saw the point of going to all the trouble of making a super robot cop and then having him move like an old lady using a walker. I'm sure this robocop will be a lot more physically able but that suit just looks like every other "robosuit" created for every sci-fi film in the last several years from G.I. Joe to Battleship.

My disappointment isn't so much that they changed the suit, it's that they did it in the most unoriginal way possible.

That looks like a man in body armor not a robocop

They should rename this movie to Metroid.

Was willing to give it a chance because of the cast but probably not now. The suit is kind of important.

That was it's flaw, in the same way Ed-209 wasn't designed to walk down stairs lol. Not to mentioned he was built to be intimidating, but not to the level of 209.

I have to offer congrats to them on that suit. I mentioned a while back that my main fear was the remake being an iron man wannabe. I was wrong and it's far worse! They actually managed to knockoff The Dark Knight's costume at the same time.

Is that really the suit? Or is it going to have CG added? Seeing that pic, I thought maybe they're going to CG in the suit - with all kinds of movements like in Transformers.

This is about what I expected. Sleeker, more Iron Man-like suit.

I don't care for it really, but I'm not going to boycott the movie based on a couple spy shots of it. Let me see this fucker in context before I pass judgement.

I may not like the suit but I do like the car. Pretty nice car, little details here and there make it look futuristic.

The picture DthRdrX posted is not showing up for me for some reason.

I found what I think is the new car for the flick and it doesn't look too bad. It looks like a nice upgrade from the cars in the original. That's what they should have done with the suit, upgrade it but stick with the original design.

I like that it's a flat black, like in the original, and not glossy.

You know, it's funny that over at Blu-ray.com someone posted a sketch that looked just like that and claimed it was the design for the new Robocop. I owe that guy and apology for laughing at what I thought was a ridiculous claim.

Perhaps there will be CGI added in post.

Spoiler:
No. That's the sketch I mistakenly assumed was a fake.

This is the supposed concept art:

It fits with the red lights seen in the teaser pic.

re: RoboCop (2014, Padilha) S: Kinnaman, Oldman, Jackson

Who is the idiot that designed this nonsense ? It's a cool suit but it doesn't belong in a Robocop movie. It looks more like Gyver. It is NOT going to have the recognition that the true Robocop does. No one is going to look at this crap and think "oh, Robocop."

If they follow that concept art won't they be sued by the owners of Battlestar Galactica?

I actually like that supposed concept art. Very much old Robo in terms of color scheme but also very new.
