The Fog sounds better on paper, but it's pretty crappy in execution.

His best film is, of course, Village of the Damned.

I enjoyed them both... but.. "The Fog" was fairly creepy. "Halloween" made me laugh more than jump. I voted "Fog".

Like a lot of people, I voted for Halloween because it's a classic and I remember when it was ground-breaking. But I have always had love for the creepiness of The Fog and the fact that it wasn't a re-tread of anything and totally original. Plus the references to The Birds pretty well won me over... And the isolation of the lighthouse... And Adrienne Barbeau, of course... Then there's the Janet Leigh character... And her daughter...
