Are kids into Jonny Quest? I remember it from when I was a kid, and I wasn't even into it then. This might wind up another SPEED RACER or LONE RANGER at the box office.

I am. That's the only Birdman episode I saw but it was amazing. Sadly it was in SD. Looked horrid streaming it from Hulu. I'm guessing it's in SD as a origin source anyway, I think that's right.

Everything aired in SD back then. Like television did for 60 years.

I told my almost 15 year old daughter (who is totally into superhero movies) that they were making a Johnny Quest movie and she said, "Who?"

They need to put out a new season of the show done in the 60's style before they release the movie to create more awareness or this could easily be a box office disappointment.

I was at the age where I'd see a ton of the original Johnny Quest on CN, but also at a time where The Real Adventures (with the virtual reality stuff) came out, and was on every fucking Turner network, and was programmed such that it aired everyday.

Yeah, I remember that too, they hyped the hell out of that 1990s series, though I don't know if it ever became the hit they hoped for. It was pretty uncommon to see animation like that anyplace besides CN, but it was even on TNT. It was hyped as being "extreme" in style, I had a few of the tie-in toys back in the day.

Boomerang doesn't even run JQ anymore .

Wasn't big on the original Jonny Quest cartoon, but I loved the reboot "The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest". It had hoverboards and episodes dedicated to virtual reality stuff, etc.

The original seemed more like an Indiana Jones type movie, only with a whole family of people.
