RECAST THIS!: Back to the Future Edition

My coworkers and I play this at work and its kind of fun. Basically take a classic movie and recast it with who you think they would cast if it were to be remade today. First up Back to the Future.

Marty: Shia LaBeouf
Doc Brown: Christopher Walken
George: Tony Hale
Biff: Brad Renfro

I like your picks. I'm drawing a blank for Lorraine though.

Mayor Goldie Wilson: Chris Rock

Christopher Walken is just about the only actor (other than Christoper Lloyd) that I can see as Doc Brown also.

For Marty though, somehow I see Tobey Maguire, but he's a bit too old for the role. For Biff we probably need someone hulking who is able to play comedy -- how about Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson? For George McFly, though, only Crispin Glover will do.

You've got it all wrong. Like many recent remakes, the movie would be recast with an all black cast and would be called "Black To the Future". It would star Nick Cannon as Marty, Cedric the Entertainer as Doc Brown, and Jaleel White as George.

Favorite movie of all time . . .

Marty: I do like your pick for Shia. Probably the only choice for the role right now. Only other guy I could see in the part is Emile Hirsch.
Lorraine: Amanda Bynes. She'd be perfect.
George: I think Tony Hale is too old to pull this off. You can always make someone look older for the 3 or 4 1985 scenes, but they need to ultimately look young enough to be Marty's age. Michael Cera might be old enough now to pull it off. I'd have to see him with make-up to age him 30 years to be sure. If not, Martin Starr or Jay Baruchel might be good.
Biff: Tough one. Hell, cast Jason Segel to keep with the whole Apatow theme . . . maybe Apatow could even write/produce the remake.
Doc: Hardest of the bunch to cast. Walken would overpower the role. People couldn't get past that. The new Doc can't be crazier than the old Doc. Maybe Ed Harris?

I clicked on the thread to nominate Shia and the OP already did it.

All the leads, save for Doc, we're 20-25 during filming for Back to the Future. They were all still in their 20s during the sequels too. I think some of these actors closing in on 40 would be just a little too old. Hell, the original cast is only a couple years older.

He's very much alive. You must be thinking of his career.

I'm still waiting for the movie where Steve and Laura get married But not before Steve destroys the reception hall and burns down the church by accident.

How about Terry O'Quinn (Locke from Lost) as Principal Strickland?

If only Adrien Brody was younger, he'd make a great George IMHO.

I can't recast this movie because you can't best perfection.

That and I know that any type of remake would be set in the present and not 1985.

Yeah, Marty going back to the Bicentennial just wouldn't have the same feel.

I should have bet money before clicking on this thread that Shia would be the first one mentioned. I win! That's too obvious. You might as well put Daniel Radcliff in there.
No remake!
