My limited memory of "View to a Kill" (which i continue to try and forget) recalls May Day as being a villaness/henchwoman.

Which may not make any difference, but the fact remains that Grace Jones is pretty damn scary.

Teri Hatcher was a really pointless Bond girl as she wasn't even around long enough to amount to much of anything.

I've always interpreted "Bond Girl" to mean "A Girl 007 Banged" - and, yes, he did unfortunately bang May Day.

(And, BTW, Onatopp is in there and she was a villainess too.)

Melina Havelocke has always been my favorite (neck a neck with Xenia
Onatopp)

I’m glad they both made the “good” list (Although Octopussy should have been on there and Onatopp and Havelocke should have shared number one (with whah whah music in the background).

I think Brosnan got the cream of the crop.

Famke Jsnnsen
Teri Hatcher
Wai Lin
Sophie Marceau
Denise Richards - definitely odd casting but easy on the eyes
Halle Berry - again, not great casting but easy on the eyes

Exactly. Grace Jones would have been #1 on my personal list, and Halle Berry would have been in the top 10. I actually liked Lynn-Holly Johnson a lot...guess it's that whole "barely legal" thing.

I don't think they did. It was really sad how stupid she was, because Sophie Marceau was awesome in that movie.

Not that i'm blind to Richards inability to act, but it's quite difficult to take her criticism seriously when early James Bond movies were filled with gorgeous women and most couldn't even speak English.

Maybe Denise Richards just needed someone to dub her voice.

Certainly her acting in Starship Troopers cemented her artistic abilities.

I agree, the only problem I had with her is that she really exposed how old Roger Moore was at that point and made him seem like someone's dad and not the suave ladies man that 007 is reknowned to be. A big part of the problem was that they actually wrote it that way, with 007 acting all embarassed by her advances. You just know Brosnan's Bond would have hit that and never looked back.

Was that necessary? The discussion alone was bad, but now you had to go and post a pic?

Ugh.

A picture is worth a thousand words. So that picture says it all for Grace Jones as by far the WORST BOND GIRL EVER!!!

No Fiona Volpe on the good list? WTF?!?!?!? Hottest and most badass until Xenia.

Holly Goodhead and Jinx Johnson should be switched on those lists. Neither was very good, but at least Holly has a great name going for her. Better yet, put Fiona in the Jinx slot and don't include the good doctor on either list.

Eva Greens Vesper just vaulted to the top of my 'Best' list after seeing CR last night.
The others, many of whom I've liked, just pale in comparision. Vesper comes off as an honest to God real character and not just a concept for a character. It helps that the chemistry is there with Craig, and the relationship is written at a high level.

Big lover of Fiona here, too. To me, Luciana Paluzzi epitomizes the quintessential 60's babe.

The irony in FYEO is that Carole Bouquet is actually less than a year older than Lynn-Holly Johnson. Melina Havelock was always one of my favorites though.

My two favorites, however, are Tracy in OHMSS, and Domino in Thunderball. Personally, I always thought Claudine Auger was the prettiest of all the Bond girls.

As far as Halle Berry is concerned, she just seemed like a repackaging of Wai Lin in Tomorrow Never Dies. I preferred Rosamund Pike.

Then by your definition Onatopp would not technically be a Bond girl. They stopped at "foreplay".

Famke Jansen's role on Nip/Tuck pretty much ruined any fantasy I've had of her (if you've watched the show, you know what I mean)

Well i did see a movie with Famke playing a lesbian, so maybe that will wash that Nip/Tuck business out of your mind.

Michelle Yeoh should have been on the worst list. She made the movie unwatchable.

No way - Michelle Yeoh rocked! She's very good looking, has a certain presence about her that comes across in her performance (even though her English isn't great), she comes across with a lot of class, and she knows how to KICK ASS!

What more do you need?

She's near the top of my list along with Ursula Andress and Carole Bouquet.

Tanya Roberts easily wins my "Worst Bond Girl," Award due to her HORRIFIC performance in the elevator in the burning building.

"JAMES, don't leave me!! JAAAAMES, don't leave me!!"

The most annoying voice EVER in a Bond movie.
