I wonder if they could use this as a quote: "Since Rob Schneider wants nothing to do with Mel Gibson's movies (as if he even had the choice), you know this one will be good!"

I just have a feeling that this movie will not do too well due to Gibson's statements. Even if it can manage well financially, it will fall flat with the Academy voters as a majority are ,well, you know.

I wonder how many stupid people view Mel Gibson as the ultimate anti-semite, yet are completely clueless about Iran wanting to nuke Israel and the Jews off the face of the planet.

Relax, I doubt there's very few people who consider Gibson to be the "ultimate" anti-semite. He did, however, say some very regrettable things recently, that make for a lot of easy jokes at his expense. Pointing out even larger anti-semites does not mean Mel Gibson's off the hook.

Doesn't do a damn thing for me; looks like the type of movie that would be lucky to make $20 million total at the domestic box office if it's director wasn't in a world of P.R. trouble with the public. I think this will be the box office antipode to THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST.

I was interested in this since I liked "Passion" very much and am a fan of Mel's in general, but seeing this trailer doesn't realy make me rush out to go and see it. I'll definitely see it on dvd, but will wait for some reviews before making a decision on seeing it in a big screen. Although the cinematography alone might change that.

Bump!
I also liked the Passion a lot, and thought it was a good movie, despite all the hoopla that surrounded it. I think that Gibson is a really talented director and movie maker, and he tends to do well in this genre of historical-based films where he gets to interpret what has happened during a certain period of time.
I really want to see this in the theaters though...I think that the DVD won't do it justice just because from what you see in the trailer, it just seems like something that would be more appreciated on a larger screen with hard-core surround sound, as opposed to what you may have at home.

I think this movie is going to bomb pretty big, at least considering it's a Mel Gibson movie. There's been at least two trailers and not a single one says what the story is about.
