World Trade Center (2006) Trailer

Don't know if this has been posted already, but I did a search and couldn't find anything. Anyway this film looks to be going in a much different direction than Greengrass did with United 93. It looks much more "Hollywood" in my opinion. What do you think?

Can't wait to see it. Missed out on United 93 because I was most interested in this. Love Stone, Love Cage.

The movie looks pretty good. However, I don't like that the trailer gave away the ending.

yeah! unless they're going to try to surprise you, it's pretty clear the trailer gives away too much...and perhaps it's fair to say it's a bit manipulative of the audience's emotions by showing the wives, etc.

I liked it. I saw United 93, and this looks a lot more interesting IMO.

It looks too "Hollywood" to me; it looks like it is going to be emotionally manipulative and over the top with some sort of spiritual love message. But that's just on first looks at this trailer.

agreed. something about Nic Cage and the words he said seemed very cheesy and doesn't look to do the tragedy justice. but again, just from the little clip i saw.

Those who don't want to be spoiled should stay away from the trailer. They showed way too much. Looks pretty craptastic to me. The "who wants to help me evacuate the building" thing made me cringe.

Also I thought Maggie Gyllenhaal was part of the "Bush planned 9-11" movement. Seems odd she'd appear in this film so soon after.

I think that for this type of thing, I would much prefer something done by The History Channel.

In response to scott1598:

I bet most people going in don't know that
Spoiler:
Nicholas Cage and that other guy are gonna be trapped under a pile of WTC rubble for the last portion of the movie.

Is there another link for the trailer somewhere? I can't get that one to work on my computer. Thanks a bunch.

There is a German version on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Evlio...trade%20center

How can you not get Quicktime to work on your computer?

It would take a miracle (no pun intended) for this movie to surpass United 93. Looks like a cheesy Hollywoodized-version of the day.

Wow. That movie looks awful. Why aren't there any "too soon" cries?

I almost get mad at myself for being excited over the special effects.

I think it would've been more tasteful and far more interesting if Stone did not make it based on real events, or even based on New York. I don't see him handling this one well.

Considering it's based on a true story, I don't understand why people are crying "spoilers"

I'm looking forward to it.
