So, MovieTalk....who should have won Best Picture?
We all know that Crash took home the big prize last night. IMO, it was the least deserving film.
Who do you think should have won Best Picture?
In addition, of all of the elgible films that were released last year, which one should have been nominated AND won Best Picture?

Needs to contact an admin about multiple accounts
of the five nominated films, i would have ranked them in this order:
1. Good Night, and Good Luck
2. Brokeback Mountain
3. Capote
4. Munich
5. Crash “The moment you start preaching, the moment you want to teach your audience, you are making a bad film.” - Douglas Sirk
and there were a number of films that, imo, bested the five nominated films. they include...
The New World, Saraband, Broken Flowers, Grizzly Man, and many others.

I voted for Crash, but would have preferred Sin City

Like Shakespeare In Love, Crash is destined to become one of those "what the hell were they thinking?" winners. It's an after school special with big name stars.
My pick would have been Match Point.

Brokeback Mountain.
Crash was way to forced with its ricial message that it was laughable more than anything and to quote Stewart.. "And all those issues where never a problem after"

1. Brokeback Mountain
2. Capote
3. Good Night, and Good Luck
4. Munich
5. (behind about 20 other movies that should've bumped it out of getting so much as a nomination - King Kong anyone?) Crash

Of the films nominated, Crash ...
Not nominated (and in an alternate universe)? Sin City for Picture, Art Direction, Cinematography AND Adapted Screenplay.
Sins of Omission (Nominations): Batman Begins for Adapted Screenplay, King Kong for Best Picture, and Elizabethtown for Original Screenplay.

I personally would've liked to see Kung Fu Hustle win. Or Robert Rodriguez's intriguing new look on film which changed the face of independent filmmaking forever: The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl 3-D.
