There's nothing wrong with the poster. Some people might misinterpret the title, but the poster is just fine. What people just didn't understand about this film was that it was an attack on black stereotypes and a stereotypical film genre -- most people just thought it was an animated blaxploitation movie.

DVD Talk Legend
Saw the trailer for this one on a bootleg collection. Apparantly, he was "badder than Superfly, and tougher that Super**********!"
And how could we forget what's probably the first real movie poster:

This book has lots of cool movie posters, and an entire section devoted to "Racist Trash" and has the posters for Legend of ******* Charley, Honky (a love story of hate), The Thing With Two Heads ("They transplanted a White Bigot's Head onto a Soul Brother's Body!") and a bunch more. I suggest it to any movie fan.

Whoa. Weird thread bump considering that I've just watched both of the "***** Charly" movies for the first time about a week ago (Saw "Boss *****" earlier this year. It's now widely available on DVD under the simple title of Boss)
Nope that's a guy being choked by the bow/arrow dude.
