There's nothing wrong with the poster. Some people might misinterpret the title, but the poster is just fine. What people just didn't understand about this film was that it was an attack on black stereotypes and a stereotypical film genre -- most people just thought it was an animated blaxploitation movie.

Perhaps they changed it because there's a real band called I Am the World Trade Center.

The best part of the "Boss" radio spot is that at the end the guy says, "Rated PG!"

oddly enough some low key dvd house titles Blax put out Legend of ****** Charlie, and Coonskin.

Paramount seems to own the Charlie series, so i doubt we'll ever see it again...

Saw the trailer for this one on a bootleg collection. Apparantly, he was "badder than Superfly, and tougher that Super**********!"

And how could we forget what's probably the first real movie poster:

This book has lots of cool movie posters, and an entire section devoted to "Racist Trash" and has the posters for Legend of ******* Charley, Honky (a love story of hate), The Thing With Two Heads ("They transplanted a White Bigot's Head onto a Soul Brother's Body!") and a bunch more. I suggest it to any movie fan.

It's great fun, odd posters for more familar flicks like Escape From New York and White Lightning, combined with these movies I've never heard of. Some of the posters are so crazy, I just had to track down the movie to see if it could live up to that.

I'm guessing most of them didn't. It doesn't matter how bad your movie is, if you have a killer poster, you can make some money.

Did he play the line from the end of the movie, "There's nothing worse for a black man than to drag around a white bitch"

Whoa. Weird thread bump considering that I've just watched both of the "***** Charly" movies for the first time about a week ago (Saw "Boss *****" earlier this year. It's now widely available on DVD under the simple title of Boss)

How about a new poster?

I'd cheer out loud if I saw this up at my local Regal or AMC theater.
