I think this is literally the last movie I'm still waiting on to come out on DVD. I have a good VHS version but really want this on disc. I've emailed Warner several times, even asking if they'd release as an Archive title but no luck yet.

Shipwreck is available to buy or rent from Amazon on demand. I dont think it will ever come out on DVD.

Speaking of my emerging puberty, I think I watched this one on HBO a couple dozen times in the '80s:

Does anyone know if I were to buy this off Amazon On Demand if I would be able to burn it to my own DVD or does it just work on my computer and Ipod? I like to be able to put this on a disc. Thanks in advance.

Re: Lost movies of the 1980's- the HBO years

I wish I could get these movies on DVD.

Anyway, anyone remember a movie where a nerdy guy makes a deal with a hot satanic chick to be a cool guy? After he makes his deal, he's handsome, muscular and the first thing he does is check his shorts to see he's big down there too.

Anyway some stuff happens and he regrets his decision. At the end of the movie he gets to go back to normal and the hot satanic chick he made the deal with decides to undo her own deal, and she turns into a nice, but homely blonde chick. They realize they're happy with who they really are and fall in love.

Didn't HBO have a show called "Not Necessarily The News" with sniglets?

I used to love that show. Stuart Pankin from Fatal Attraction was one of the regulars; he shows up regularly on TV but is virtually unrecognizable due to all the weight he's lost. Mitchell Laurance from ESPN was a regular too, at the same time his twin brother was in seemingly every 80s movie. The first time I heard "fuck" on TV was one of his bits. UK TV fixture Rich Hall did the Sniglets® segments. I still occasionally find myself "furbling" (winding through a roped-off area at the movie or the bank even though there's no one else in line) or spotting "gasholes" (anyone who drives through a gas station at a corner in order to avoid a stoplight).

Does anyone remember this movie? I think it was on Showtime in the early '80s. This is the only scene I remember, for obvious reasons:

A well-endowed topless brunette woman has been drugged by the antoganist and she is shown writhing on a jungle floor with a large snake slithering about her chest. Sound familiar?

Funny how so many of these are "boobie" related.

I don't know the movie, but the scene description makes me want to see it!

I remember watching Sheena: Queen of the Jungle at every opportunity for the Tanya Roberts nudity.

Re: Lost movies of the 1980's- the HBO years

Movies I remember watching over and over again on HBO that I'd like to see on decent DVDs are:

High Risk
The American Success Company
The Lady In Red
Nashville Girl
Angel Of H.E.A.T.
Gorp

This starred Rosanna Arquette and also needs a decent DVD released.

You're welcome. The collection has been $5 a couple times, think it might be in the Walmart $5 bins.
