Oliver Stone's Alexander
Do any of you think it will be any good. Sometimes Oliver Stone tends to overblow things, but he never makes boring movies. The only thing that has me worried is Colin Farrell and Angelina Jolie. I also read that Alexander was going to be three hours plus, but Stone may cut 15 minutes to make it more theater friendly. I hate it when directors cut a three hour film.I like long epics.

Well, the cutting wouldn't really be Oliver Stone's fault or for that matter anyone really. I'd love for 3 and a half hour movies that are good, but in truth no studio would let that happen (except Ted Turner) simply because...it would make less money. In general I'd say that's true, so I can't blame them for that choice.
otherwise I'm psyched for this movie. It looks like everything Troy wasn't. Gritty, with a keener eye toward story. Not to mention it's the story of Alexander, hardly a shitty story, and with Vangelis doing the music...I'm so there. Here's hoping Stone doesn't disapoint!
