Who would you cast if you could remake DUNE?
Greetings!
Longtime lurker, just signed on. Dune is one of my favorite reads and I have a love/hate relationship w/ David Lynch's version. (Loved the production design, hated Lynch making stuff up as he went along). Anyways, I've long wanted to remake Dune my own way. Who would you cast for your favorite characters? Too many to do them all, so just pick your faves, I will start;

We need a sub-forum for "Who would you cast in _____________ ?" threads.
I personally liked the SciFi Channel versions as well as the original theatrical ones. And in a book with that many character, it would hard to pay for them all.

I don't mean to threadcrap but....Please no, not another Dune movie. There are so many classic SF stories that have yet to be made into movies.
That said I like the idea of Daniel Day Lewis and even more so Orlando Bloom as Muad'dib. He definitely could pull it off. Emperor: Yaphet Kotto (maybe he's too old)
