Composer Jerry Goldsmith passes away

Anyone who loves movies cannot help but to be sadden by the passing away of one of the greatest film composers of all time on July 21.

While I am sad to see him go, he lived a good life. He came to speak to my class on Film Music one year(since my professor was one ofthe top oboe players in the world, he knew him very well). What a very nice man. I'm very sorry to see him go

No offense, but this happened two days ago. Around here, anything that happened more than five minutes ago really begs for a search before a new thread is started (there are already threads in Movies and Other).
