Well, the "Star Wars" name alone isn't enough anymore to break box-office records. If Lucas really wants to bring in the big bucks, he should call it Star Wars: Episode 3: Spider-Man on the Titanic.

Episode III: The Sum of All Force
Episode III: Anakin X
Episode III: The Final Chapter

How about:

Episode III: Vader takes Manhattan
Episode III: Lucas needs some new flannel
Episode III: The end is the begining is the end

or

Episode III: Wrath of Jar-Jar

I could just see Anakin now:

fist clentched, looking at the viewscreen

screaming the eternal line "JAR-JAR!!!!"

I don't think it's going to be anything like "Rise Of The Sith". If we look at the titles of all five SW films, none of them specifically state anything:

"A New Hope". What new hope? "The Empire Strikes Back". How? "The Return Of The Jedi". Which Jedi? (Although everybody new it was Luke.) "The Phantom Menace". "Attack Of The Clones". Attack against who? What clones?

Thus I think a title like "Fall of the Republic" would be too simple and self-explanatory, even for Star Wars.

The thing is - you guys arent thinking pulp enough. Look at just a handful of the previous titles from the Lucas stable:

Attack of the Clones
Raiders of the Lost Ark
The Phantom Menace
The Temple of Doom
Indiana Jones and the Phantom Train of Doom

See what I mean? Given the pattern thusfar, and given Lucas' love of the saturday morning serials - it's going to be something along this lines. It'll be something like The Clutching Hand, The Fighting Devil Dogs or Raiders of Ghost City - something that's a throwback to the old Republic days.

Mark my words. . . .

Naw, that was one of handful of the Young Indy movies they did towards the end of the run of the series.

No, that's the whole philosophy of the Sith. When there were a bunch around, the ended up destroying each other (or the Jedi did...something like that), so they came up with the one at a time rule.

And Episode III will be titled The Incredibly Strange Clones Who Stopped Attacking and Became Mixed-Up Stormtroopers. You need something stupider than Attack of the Clones.

The Horror of Dookula has a nice ring to it as well.

Star Wars Episode 3: Big Trouble in Little Yoda

or

Star Wars Episode 3: Darth City

or

Star Wars Episode 3: Citizen Kenobi (with accent mark on e to give that extra flavor)
