Holy crap. I've seen this trailer 5-6 times, and never got that it was a hitching hand until now. I also thought it looked like some kind of rooster thing.

So did I.....although it was more of a teaser than a trailer since no scenes from the actual film were shown that I recall....

but as soon as the words "Don't Panic!" flashed on the screen I about pissed myself.... I was not expecting to see a teaser for Hitchhiker's Guide.....

I soooooo cannot wait for this!

and I am one of the few that loved the BBC miniseries...I thought the book narration sequences were great....

then again I was introduced to HG all backwards....I saw the BBC miniseries first, then read the books, and then listened to the radio series on cd....

People said the same thing when THE MUMMY came out just a few weeks before PHANTOM MENACE. If it's a good movie, there will be plenty of people paying to see it...don't worry.
People said the same thing when a little movie called Spider-man came out a few weeks before Attack of the Clones. We know who won that battle...

If anyone was worried about HHGttG releasing too close to Episode III, there's less to worry about, as the official website is now listing it's release date as April 29th. So it's now coming out three weeks before Episode III instead of just two, and it's only competition so far is XXX: State of the Union, as oppposed to Kingdom of Heaven, Monster-in-Law, and House of Wax on May 6th.

Still no trailer, but IGN had some nice pictures of the Vogons, courtesy of Jim Henson's Muppet Workshop.

With all due respect, Spider-Man is a far, far cry from Hitchhiker's Guide To the Galaxy. Spidey is a hugely popular character that had never been brought to the big screen. Being a good movie certainly didn't hurt either. Hitchhiker has nowhere near the market penetration or the popularity of Spider-Man. Spider-Man can compete on that level.

Having said that, Hitchhiker's Guide will have time to make it's money. But it won't be anywhere near those two films.

After seeing it, I loved it. I loved the additions they added to it from the book and I loved how they translated the book to film. Any fan will not be let down . They even handled the two heads very well.

I have no previous knowledge of the story or film, but I was curious because of all of the Internet hype. Anyways, based on the trailer it looks like a pretty decent sci-fi film. If I see the movie, it will be when the DVD comes out.

I was suprised to see that many of the sets/locations look quite similar to the sets/locations used in the BBC series...that's a very nice homage. I think it looks like a lot of fun...I'm not sure it's going to reach the "great mainstream" audience Disney is probably hoping for, but it looks like the kind of movie fans of the book (like myself) will see three or four times in the theater.

Not sure if I like the way they did Zaphod's two heads...but Zaphod's just this guy, you know?!

it really does work well on screen. It's not as distracting as if there was actually two heads through the whole thing.

Looks incredible, I am so psyched for this movie. One of my favorite books since I was a kid, I'm a huge Sam Rockwell fan & more than anything Tim, I mean Martin Freeman is brilliant & I'm so glad he landed such a major role.

Mos does a great job as Ford. and it's a good choice in the long run to put some color into the film.

Besides, adams did approve of it.

Perhaps I am confused, but..

Spoiler:
From the preview, it looked like his second head is actually underneath his first head. I thought I read his second head was inside his nose?
