Favorite Scene/Moment in "Spider-Man 2"

"Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head" montage...
genuine cheese+genuine funny=great scene (only Sam Raimi could have thought of that)

Do we really need another Spiderman 2 thread? There are 6 or so active Spidey threads already, a tad uneccesary to open another one.

I haven't seen the movie (and I'm trying to avoid spoilers) so it's hard to avoid it with the sheer amount of spidey threads in movie talk.

-off topic-
It's only to be expected when a Big Event Movie comes out. It'll die down in a couple of days, so just ride it out. (and frankly when you open a thread about "Best moment in SM2" you have to go in expecting spoilers.)

-on topic-
Best serious moment: the aftermath of the subway. Very touching scene, especialy with the two kids.

Best Action moment: The fight outside the bank. I love Aunt May's bit in that.

Best comedy moment: The elevator. "It kind of rides up in the crotch"

Hmm, isn't this the same guy who kept interrupting Fahrenheit 9/11 threads earlier this week to tell us in ALL CAPS REALLY LOUD that there shouldn't be so many threads on one movie? So what is it, one standard for one flick and one for another? This ain't a flame, I'm genuinely curious how you seem to have a totally different attitude now.

But she had an inkling of that at the end of the first movie when she realized that Peter kissed just like Spider-Man.

Why else would she kiss John Jameson upside-down if she didn't think Spider-Man and Peter were one in the same? I think that scene at the end was one of comfort that she was indeed right.

Very much agreed. By far the best scene in the movie.

When Peter got slapped by Harry, twice no less in public then finds out Mj is getting married all of two seconds later, and so ended yet another crummy day for your friendly neighborhood spiderman.

Kinda like Lea Thompson and Craig Sheffer in Some Kind of Wonderful. It was just missing the reaction by Elias Koteas and Eric Stoltz.

and why don't you stop being butt hurt about every person's criticizing of your threads which may carry some truth to the statement? a favorite scene/moment comment could very easily be placed in the other threads since it is part of a discussion and reaction to watching the film

My favorite though was the chainsaw scene. the way it was shown coming up from the ground. woah. woah woah. simply great homage.

Fine, I'll give you the fact that there may be too many Spidey threads right now. But you saying that you're trying to avoid spoilers and then clicking on a thread that says "Favorite Moment in Spider-Man 2" is the most ridiculous thing I've heard all day. BTW its very easy to avoid spoilers even if there are 20 active threads on the topic and thats by not clicking those links. Its not like theres spoilers in the thread title.

It's not officialy too many threads for a few more days until the inevitable post asking if the dvd release date for Spider-Man 2 has been announced yet.

Peter when he's holding the wall up from crushing MJ: "This is really heavy"

Great delivery.

The wedding scene at the end. Knew it was coming, but it still made me so happy! I also agree with all the above-mentioned scenes. I was laughing so hard during the "Raindrops" montage! I wasn't expecting so much great (and appropriate) humor in this movie!

The subway scene was my favorite but I enjoyed Peter's bad luck at acquiring an appetizer and then a drink at the party. The humor in the film was really good.

the subway scene was great, but when he lost his mask, why would he so casually look back at the crowd and the train conductor and make those jokes. Wouldn't he be much, much more cautious and not be so careless as to look back and make those cutesy faces when he did at one point?

I'm wondeirng why have a mask in the first place if you're going to keep taking it off.
