Not bad.

I'm sure it will get a few bad reviews...for no less reason than some critics just don't like to follow the crowd.

I suspect that there will be very positive reviews from most critics, based on the few I've heard and the general buzz on this - get ready for some really big numbers when it opens.

Big numbers and some of the best reviews of the year.

It deserves both.

I saw a Sam Raimi interview where he said he will murder any critic who gave this movie a bad review.

I'm predicting an 86% Fresh rating when all reviews are accounted for.

You know there will be at least one party-pooper critic. It should be pretty close to 99% if I was betting

I'm with you Jack! I saw it once and it was amazing! It just added so much more that the first didn't have! I'll say it again....Excellent Story, and Excellent Action!

Is there any movie with many reviews thats 100%?

I don't believe any of the LotR films even got 100%. Close...but theres always a few critics that dislike movies.

Everyone doesn't have to like it...

That's exactly my point. It seemed like you were saying that the only reason critics would not give a positive review to this movie was to simply disagree with the majority.

If you don't automatically love Spiderman 2, then as a critic you have "lost it."

Just goosestep along, dammit.

According to their website, there are a least 100 movies with 100%... each has at least 20 reviews to qualify. It's a pretty damn nice list

Here's the list

Sam Raimi is one of those directors that works real hard to produce great movies.

I like that their list of 100% films includes Evil Dead and Evil Dead 2. Surprisingly, it also has The Secret of Roan Inish, which I remember hating.

That's great news. Like many I was a Spiderman fan since I was a little kid but unlike many I was disappointed in the first Spiderman. I'm trying not to let my expectations run too high because of the great reviews though.

I'm with you. When i first saw it.....I guess what was missing is some real spidey action! That story was great, the acting was great, everything was great except the action which was stale.

Spidey 2 is way in front of Spidey 1! Think ESB for star wars.

Yeah, but Spidey 1 was no dropping revelation like Episode IV was in its time. Think Spidey 1 as Episode 1 then Lucas comes up with an Episode 2 thats on the level with ESB. I guess my expectation for Spidey 2 is already off the charts.

Are you kidding?

American Gothic was a great show and both XENA and Hercules had huge followings.

American gothic was a great show. I'm not a fan of much TV, but that one was something different. I'd buy the series on dvd.
Hercules and xena were entertaining when I caught parts of episodes on TV.

As for SM2-- If it's half as good a sequel as ED2 was, then it's going to be pretty good.
