Just call me Mr. Overreaction. I thought my short on FH911 was going to hurt me horribly, but I had a few other things to balance it.

So where do people think FH911 will go from here?

They are adding more theaters so who nows. My gut feeling is that it will go down like most movies however this is not most movies so who knows.

We will know better based on weekday totals and by next weekend.

Your initial gut feeling told you it wouldn't make $10M
Never listening to gcribbs again.

Hey I told you before halt I was getting out and moving on

This game does take too much time however. I feel like I need to check up on things far too often to make sure I do not miss a turn of a stock.

Looks like the actuals on FH911 were almost $3 more than the estimate - so I missed about half a mil. on the adjust. Its just not my week...

Maybe it will be your week next week

I am expecting a drop off or at least a leveling off for me over the next few days although maybe I can find a few more gems in the rough to give me some money this week.

I don't understand why some of the BW's are selling. I'll be keeping several around, they've already made me a pretty profit.

Once people get enough profit some will sell. some people are selling to buy Spiderman shares. Others like me are selling to join the herd and make money on the short.

once they started to go down I sold and shorted most of them to make some money going down. then I will cover and rebuy to make money going back up

A word of warning about doing this- If you do this too late then the cost of paying commissions can eat you up since you are selling ,shorting, covering, rebuying. If you get in late sometimes a simple sell and rebuy is the best since you avoid half the commissions and still buy it lower making some of your losses back.

If you are real late in the selloff holding it would work best.

gcribbs, I guess that does make some pretty good sense. I'm just not that active with my trading I suppose.

So remind me again, which one of you assured us that there was no way that FH911 would make its price? I have a raspberry to blow. (And a portfolio to rebuild.)

If you do not have a bunch of time to devote to it then picking good stocks/bonds... and holding them is the best way.

I just do not have a life

That was me as well. I also have a portfolio that needs rebuilding. I lost aroung 1.2 million and the weekend before I lost around 300k on AW80D.

Just for future reference on my predictions since I'm batting 1000. I have now held 3 movies through their opening weekend. They are as follows:

Girl Next Door - Held Long

AW80D - Held Long

FH911 - Held Short

I can't decide if I want to hold onto the SP2CA, I just don't know how much it will make this weekend. $130 million does seem high, so I might have to jus take my profits and run from it.
