As many times as I have watched it, I have to say the best movie I have ever seen is HEAT. I could watch that 3 hour movie day and night and never get tired of it.

Oceans Eleven would be second place.

LONESOME DOVE

Doesn't matter that it was on tv, it's still a movie and, IMHO, much better than a lot of the stuff that ends-up in theatres.

As a whole, The Lord of The Rings Trilogy. To pick a favorite though, I'd go with The Fellowship of The Ring. When I saw it for the first time, without knowing anything about the story (other than seeing the trailers), it completely blew me away.

After that, I'd go with

Almost Famous
Saving Private Ryan
Braveheart
Last of The Mohicans
A River Runs Through It
Lost In Translation

Last of the Mohicans. DDL is amazing and the direction and cinematography is second to none. Too bad the DVD release sucked so bad. Don't know what they were thinking there.
