Maybe this has been asked before, I haven't read the whole thread but...

Why does this film get a sticky thread and not Fahrenheit 9/11?

I think it's because the thread was accidentally closed before and the mods are making up for it. That, and if it wasn't sticky it would fall of the front page in short order .

The owner of this site is a major NRA supporter and hates Moore with a passion. It is believed that he is one of the secret financiers of Michael Moore Hates America, but this hasn't been confirmed, despite rumblings in the media.

If you'll read it, you'll find that much if not most of the bashing being done is of the movie Michael Moore Hates America, not Moore.

I wonder too. Seems more than a bit political to see "Michael Moore Hates America!" with a sticky as the very first thread on the page when all the other more intelligent 9/11 debate threads aren't sticky.

To answer your question - not sure why it's stickied - one of the Admins did it (probably Geoff)...so I'll just leave it here.

group·think n. The act or practice of reasoning or decision-making by a group, especially when characterized by uncritical acceptance or conformity to prevailing points of view.

Whoever did it is probably too busy looking for WMDs to fix their mistake...but by all means, leave it. We could even sticky it in every forum...sort of like adding more troops.

One of the things you have to love about being in America is that you get both sides of the story, not just the side the goverment wants you to hear.

There are so many things to love about this country, sometimes we have to stop and remember all the wonderful freedoms that come from being an american:

1. Vote
2. Freedom of speech
3. Right to work hard
4. Right to fail and then get and try again
5. Freedom to worship God or not to worship God
6. Freedom to own a gun or not to own a gun (I do not and will not, but that is my freedom to do so)
7. Freedom to pursue happiness (does not always mean I will find it)

I agree. And we have a right to complain about this thread being sticky. It's stupid. There's no reason for it and it and the sticky-ness sould be removed.

Sorry to bring this thread up again... but the creater of Michael Moore Hates America was on the Daily Show last night and they made him look like a complete buffoon (which apparently wasn't too difficult)

This was the first I'd heard about the movie (on the daily show) so I went to his site to check it out. Here was his comments about the whole thing:

UPDATE! The Daily Show just aired. It was hilarious. I have no regrets about doing it… and I have to say, I'm thoroughly impressed that Moore played along (even though the result was to take a shot at me). Perhaps his sense of humor about this is finally coming around. Samantha Bee is hilarious, and it was cool to hang out with her for the day. I'll check in tomorrow.
Seems like a pretty cool guy.

Yeah, it may have been through editing, but Daily Show definitely made him seem borderline retarded.

The reviews are in!

"The Last Patriot Standing"
-- Rob Nelson, CITY PAGES, MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL
http://citypages.com/filmreviews/detail.asp?MID=6127

"Wilson is just a softhearted guy mistaking boldfaced imitation for bravery and 'truth'...Good heavens, the hypocrisy is deafening."
-- Brian Orndorf, FILMJERK.COM
http://www.filmjerk.com/new/article-1080--0-0.html

"Wilson makes it clear that he doesn't share Moore's political beliefs, but the film isn't about ideology as much as accountability. The theme is: How does he get away with it?"
-- Jeff Strickler, MINNEAPOLIS STAR TRIBUNE

What with my dislike of Michael Moore, it makes me very happy to see that this film, as of right now (and yes I know it's only from five reviews so far), has a 100% rating at RottenTomatoes.
