"Along Came Jennifer"...I think she has a post-Friends future thread!

Just saw "Along Came Polly" and I got to say that I was so surprised at how syrupy sweet and really funny it actually was. I read the so-so reviews and was actually kinda skeptical after thinking it looked good from previews. Rented the DVD, almost passed on it and gave back before late charge bc of time and really enjoyed it. I actually laughed a lot. Philip Hoffman was a riot, but overall it was well done and at least a little different from the same ole..a little that is.

Jennifer Aniston was really good and I think she nailed the role. Sure, it wasn't so much of a departure from Rachel, but it was spot on and at least more of a performance than her earlier things. I thought the sad scene in "Bruce Almighty" also showed some other chops
Spoiler:
when she was praying to not hurt for Bruce any longer
. I mean Ben S. was Ben S., but she came across well and really put the Polly in "Along Came..." Of course, "The Good Girl" was good, but way subdued and I think started to tap potential that might be there.

The only criticism I might have is what was the deal with the regurgitation of the Friends episode where
Spoiler:
Ross makes the list between Rachel and Julie(girl from China) and she finds it and Ben S. having the risk assessment??
that I thought was a little bizarre!

Anyway, I really enjoyed this movie and hope she does more. A lot more of everything and anything. Just let her try it out and see what flies. She has this effervescence I think that will make her a mainstay.

What do you think?

She has two films down the pipe line. Not to mention the production company her and pitt started up not to long ago. I would be surprised if we didn't see a whole lot more from this ex-friend.

I agree, Aniston has the brightest prospects on the big screen of all the Friends imo. Along Came Polly was a pretty big hit, Bruce Almighty was...huge...and she's argubly the most popular actor of the Friends cast.

She'll be around for awhile. I don't see her becoming a huge force in drama, but for romance and comedy she'll probably shave out a decent run of movies.
