Anyone See "Sister Act?"

I just re-watched this after having not seen it in seven or so years. I still really liked it. It was funny, fun, and enjoyable. It is, though, kind of a movie I grew up with so I've always liked it.

Anyways, anyone else like it/dislike it?

I was a sucker for the song:

"I will follow him, follow him wherever he may go....ohhhh ohhhh"

Haha...yeah. I was surprised to find out that the red-headed shy nun lip-sunc through the whole film. That may not seem big, but when you watch the movie, it seems like it's her voice completely. I wouldn't have known this unless she stated it on the bonus material.

I like it, but I like the sequel better for some reason.

I like 'em both . . . Sister Act 1 & 2 make for a great movie combo.

I hated Sister Act when I was a kid (yet I liked Sister Act 2, go figure).

I hated it more when I watched it in Spanish in Spanish class.

I do like this Whoopi film through:

I wonder how much it cost to get the pope in that movie.

I liked SA1 only, the sequel seemed unnecessary. I wish they would do a SE or at least a 16x9 SA1 someday.

I really liked the first one, though not much of a fan of the second one.

I really liked them both, but I prefer the plot of the first one and the music in the second.

One of the most surreal moments in this season of American Idol was when one of the contestants (Jennifer Hudson) named Sister Act 2 as her favorite movie.

Well, one of the main plot points IS about a girl from a low income unsupportive family overcoming the obstacles and shining as a singer. I don't watch American Idol, but it seems like something that would really hit home with a lot of those people.

They were both enjoyable movies, but I think 2 was better.

I wish the ending had been a little more like City Slickers and they would have slaughterd the nuns.
