Just saw Fulci's Zombie - very good stuff
The Zombies were friggin disgusting (no grey face paint here!!!)
While the acting was borderline terrible - I still felt for the characters and did not want them to die:
Oh one last thing:
I also rented Opera but guess what? The damn disc wouldn't play - yeah I'm very pissed off.

Demonia
Don't Torture a Ducking
New York Ripper
The House by the Cemetary

These were initially defective and Anchor Bay has a replacement program. You might want to tell the rental place about this.

How long ago was this? What are the chances the disc would be bad if I ordered one from Deep Discount DVD?

No.... huh! I'll have to pop that puppy back in and find it. Thanks!

I saw the trailer for and it looked pretty annoying - were you speechless because it sucked or was it because it was freaky?

Just saw The Stendhal Syndrome. I loved the concept and the visuals in this film (just a killer idea) but I felt a little cheated after about the half way mark.............the movie just became a little to long and drawn out.
But I must say, that rapist was one disturbing dude and his gross fetish was something I've never seen before in a film. It had me freaked out and Argento did not let up on the tension and horror that he brought to the table - this is one of the reasons why he is now one of my fav. directors, He is so brilliant at punching your nerves and making you say "what the hell, this is some f***** up shit". He tells his stories through his visuals alone and I don't know how he does it...........but it works.
I remember when I bought Suspiria and didn't like it (except for the end, that has got to be some of the most disturbing material ever in a horror movie, very well done) well I gave it another viewing and now I love it, I guess I just wasn't ready for it the first time around and now that I know who all the characters are and what they are up to........it makes the film a hell of a lot scarier.
Asia Argento is one little hottie as well, couldn't get enough of her
All in all, I dug the Stendhal Syndrome and I was very pleased with the ride I was taken on - I highly reccommend this film to any new fans of Italian horror and I can't wait to watch Sleepless and Opera
