Questions regarding the 'Matrix Revolution'
Warning: spoiler ahead.
Was the human who we saw unconcious with Neo during the last part of 'matrix Reload' and who sneak into the space craft where Neo and Trinity were driving was possessed by Mr. Smith? And if so how did Mr. Smith get into his body?
How significant is the character of the little girl whom we saw with Neo in the subway? Why is Mr. Smith looking for her?
How was Mr. Smith actually defeated? Did all the other Mr. Smiths return to their original state and if so how did he lose control of them?
Thanks for the help.

yes. it should.
Smith got into his body when one of the smith clones merged with that persons matrix alter ego as he was tapped in. recall how smith merged with one of the crew members?
smith is defeated by this logic. Without evil, good can not exist. Without Neo, Smith's purpose in the matrix is no longer needed and um.. he's done. I think. uh.. yeah

2. She is the last exile from the machine world. Smith knows about her because one of the tasks of the agents is to hunt down and terminate exiles. The girl symbolizes sacrifice, which is important for Neo's journey. When we look at all the meanings behind the movie, she is very important.
3. Neo was connected to the Source, and when Smith took over Neo, he too was directly linked to the Source. Since the Source is where all programs go for deletion, Smith was deleted through the power of the Source. It's obvious throughout the sequels that all of the Smiths are linked, so that deletion flowed throughout all of them. The beginning and the end, light and the dark, merged into one, which completely negated both of them/raised Neo to a higher plane of existence.
That Matrix101 site is weak.

What makes the Matrix movies interesting are the philosophy, theology, and the symbolism behind the movies. The explanations that I gave and that the Matrix101 site gives aren't as interesting as discussing the meanings behind these things. Too bad some of the Matrix discussion threads aren't around, because I wasted a lot of time discussing these things.
