Despite glowing reviews from this site, I am contractually obligated to mention Orgy of the Dead, as it is most certainly the worst movie ever made.

Black Mask was pretty bad... 25% of the people walked out- which amounted to 2 people leaving.

Seen as a drama, Plan 9 From Outer Space is one of the worst movies ever made...

...but seen as a comedy, it's one of the funniest movies ever made. So there's no way Plan 9 could even come close to truly being the worst movie ever made. (In fact, the first appearance of the Flying Saucer in the movie is timed so perfectly for maximum comic effect, that I used to wonder if it was intended to be funny, because comic timing that perfect is so tough to achieve.)

No, the worst movie ever would just be unbearably bad and not even work as an unintentional comedy. My pick would be Monster A-Go-Go for this dishonor, but there are so many others just as bad.

I had to vote for From Justin to Kelly. It was the car wreck you couldn't help but slow down and glance at, then wince and run away from.

Easily. hands down...

I'll Spit on Your Grave Too

Imagine a low budget 80s porno, not completely amateur but with a really awful 'professional' crew. Now imagine they assembled a crew to shoot and decided "Let's make a horror movie instead". So you have a horrible attempt at a slasher movie, with that cheapy 80s porno videocam look and direction, awful effecvts, and the WORST acting I have *ever* seen, and I'm counting school plays.

I found Gigli entertaining, but probably not in the way they intended it to be.
How dare you. How dare you. I went to see this movie with AN OPEN MIND and enjoyed it very much. You apparently went to see it with a closed mind, already made up that you would hate it. The media and reviewers were VERY unkind to this movie, and when I continue to see people rip it to shreds, I WON"T STAND BY. I will call people on it. WHY did you not like this film? Explain why this derision is so funny. Frankly, when I saw Gigli, I found it to be not merely good, but one of the best films I have ever seen. I can only conclude that people simply do not understand the movie. I believe that one day, once people can view Gigli without all the preconceived notions and group think, it will be properly put into the pantheon of distinguished American cinema.

I just don't see how people can call flicks like HULK, THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT and EPISODES 1 and 2 to be among the worst movies ever. To put those on the list smacks of knee-jerking and backlash to me...There are far more incompetent, poorly produced, egotistical misfires and "artistic" disasters such as BATMAN AND ROBIN, DUMB AND DUMBERER, SUPERMAN IV, INDEPENDENCE DAY, DREAMCATCHER, ERASERHEAD, DECLINE OF THE AMERICAN EMPIRE, CABIN FEVER (whotta piece of boring, amateurish garbage!) and all those direct-to-home-video productions like BEST OF THE BEST and all those BASIC INSTINCT rip-offs.

DeiselsDam-

How can you include Superman IV in that list of dread? Superman IV was easily the best of the Superman films, and was masterfully directed. I don't understand which part of the movie you wouldn't have liked. The nuclear villian guy was fantastic, far better than those 3 weirdos from II, Mariel Hemingway gave an Oscar-worthy performance, and of course Reeve and Kidder were genius. Best of all, by the time they made this movie, they had really perfected the special effects.

Perhaps you need to revisit this great film with a fresh mind, and appreciate the complexity and nuance of Kent and Lane's relationship, the brilliant interplay between Hackman and Nuclear Man, and the delicate humor of Jon Cryor's character. Not to mention the stunning, groundbreaking action sequences. I must've watched this movie six times at the theaters, studying every detail. My well-worn DVD is proof of my love for this cinematic classic.

Island of Doctor Moreau is by far the worse I've ever seen. I have seen it three times. Once I rented it, once on a bus ride and once on a plane ride. The first two times I fell asleep 20 minutes in. The third time I saw about 90% of it but fell asleep about 4 times during it.

I also came close to walking out of Scary Movie 2. The only reason I didn't was because I shelled out $9.25 to see it and I was gonna give it a chance.

Those are my bottom 2. They were the worst movie experiances of my life.
