Lost In Translation. A great movie to watch with a chick because it's a nice slow-paced and subdued movie, creating a great mood for gettin it awwwwwwn....or something. Plus, it's a love story, but definitely not a typical or cheesy one. And to top it off, if she doesn't enjoy it, she has no taste and you can kick her ass out the door.

I liked Cadence with Charlie Sheen and King of the Hill, an older Steven Soderbergh film. Don't know if they're on DVD though.

Though having Kate Bekinsale in it doesn't hurt.

I too am a HUGE fan of LiT, but the only reason I didn't recommend it was because there seems to be a big rift in who likes it and who doesn't...with no apparent rhyme or reason. There was a lengthy discussion posted in this thread.

Otherwise, I'd say it's a totally awesome date movie for getting it ooooooooonnnnnn or otherwise.

Well if you ask this question to a lot of your dates....

...I somehow think you don't have to worry so much about crossing them off your "to-date" list. They will probably do that for you.

Thank You!!! Only 3 votes so far. Except for Mr. Big's part, this movie's really funny, and very very romantic. Too bad I didn't catch this when it was in the theatre, would've been a great date movie. But I rented it and watched it w/ my gf at home. I'm gonna see how Love Actually compares.

Both are good movies . . . I just saw Love Actually for the first time last night. While it is completely unrealistic, it is very romantic and a great "feel good" movie.

I'll also second Amelie and would offer up Chocolat and, if she's up for the violence, Braveheart . . . she gets Mel Gibson and two very romantic love stories and you get a great action flick and two hotties, including one who strips down.
