You seem to be mixed up, TCM2 was crap and in no way compares to Dawn or anything Romero has done. TCM doesn't even begin to touch the greatness of Romero's best work.

Hooper made TCM and some crap but still somehow gained cult status.

Romero made NOTLD and continued to made great films and rightly so gained cult status.

So,

Hooper =

Romero =

Just for the record, even Gollum thinks that Peter Jackson is a hack.

I'm a little confused by this . . . you guys said taht Tobe Hooper made one good movie (throwing out Poltergeist) . . . could somebody tell me what it was?

That's funny, I didn't look at the date of the OP and thought this was a new thread and was all ready to jump into the Hooper debate - then I continued to read and realized that I already did that.

Oh yeah, you got me good! That was without a doubt the absoulte best use of sarcasm I have ever read on this forum. Honestly, it was just brilliant. Would you consider bestowing you knowledge in the art of sarcasm upon me, Oh Great One!!

Don't forget, Tobe Hooper was also responsible for the 1979 version of Salem's Lot.

That actually had a few scary parts, I thought.
