Butterfly Effect (alt ending?)

Whats the alternate ending of the Butterfly Effect thats supposed to appear on the DVD as a special feature?

That totally cheapens the point of the movie (as, to a lesser extent, the original ending does).

That is ONE of the extended endings that was tacked onto the test screening I saw a year ago. That is NOT the talked about 'shocking' ending that is on the DVD.


I'm not sure if it's true or not...but someone over in the DVD section of this message board said that the alt. ending was that

Evan's mom brings him pictures of him as a kid, and also an ultrasound of when she was pregnant with him. With this, he is able to jump back to when he was still in her womb..... He wraps the umbilical cord around his neck and kills himself....in order to prevent himself from ever being born and ever meeting Kaylie.
That could be completely wrong, but ya never know.

that's a bit far fetched even for this type of movie

I hope they have all the alternative endings available on the DVD, looking forward to picking this up.
