Alone in the Dark Internet only teaser
Actually doesn't look too bad considereing it's being done by the destroyer of videogame movies Uwe Boll.

He's also doing Far Cry and BloodRayne. Ugh...
If House of the Dead was so bad and did so poorly, how did he get these other gigs? Hope Alone is good - I liked that series of games.

These other "name" videogame adaptations will follow suit, regardless of quality - something Boll is incapable of.
I think I read somewhere that HOUSE actually did big numbers on DVD...

Alone in the Dark was a survival horror game before Resident Evil came out. The first one put you in a house - alone - in the dark - with a flashlight - and you had to solve the mystery and find the monsters or whatever. It's been so long since I played them. The most recent one had two characters investigating some mysterious goings on in a house. Based on the trailer - it looks like it follows these characters in another mystery.
It's kinda like a scary xfiles with monsters.

I agree, as far as teasers go this one made less sense than others, it feels like some scenes are missing, there was a longer one awile back that was just rough footage put together that was better.

Well, for one thing there were two people, so I guess they're not alone...
For another... I hope they plan to have suspense. I never played the game, but I know it's comparable to RE in that the suspense/atmosphere are important. Not reusing a monster from the MIB movie.

Hmm this looked kinda cool and at the same time really cheap. The creature reminds me of what the clown in the spawn comics turns into. I really hate this director so I will not be seeing it but I will be intresting to see how horrible it is since hes directing a couple other video game adaptations.

Did this remind anyone else of Are You Afraid of the Dark?

Here's hoping that he puts Christian Slater and Tara Reid in those awesome slow-mo kung fun spinning shots. That stuff rawked!
In all seriousness, I've got no hope for this movie. Uwe Bowel, based on House of the Dead, is perhaps one of the most incompetent filmmakers in existent. Here, he's making a movie of Alone in the Dark...which may have been the first survival horror, but far from the best. I mean seriously, who asked for this? And Bloodrayne? Why make a movie of a game nobody wanted to play?
