Dilemma regarding Gus van Sant's Elephant (OAR)

The Drexel Theater here in Columbus is showing Elephant, but I have been informed that they will be projecting it inthe wrong aspect ratio. It was shot in 1.33:1, and they are showing it in 1.85:1. So, do I go anyway, do I complain, or do I stay home (which really means, see another movie)?

I say it's worth seeing in the theater either way (but I say that about most films). Saw the cropped print and aside from some slight moments of noticably tight framing it's not much of an issue. I've put up with some rather shitty film presentations and non-drastic framing problems are forgivable offenses, in my opinion.

And if you can talk to someone there that would have a thought I would ask why they aren't showing it 1.33:1. Though it's not worth it to get livid.

I already know why. They don't have a lens that will allow them to project it in the correct aspect ratio.
