Question about Dawn of the Dead Gore

Alright, I am interested in seeing the new (and the old for that matter) Dawn of the Dead. My wife is not much of a gore hound. She dosen't mind gore like the Nightmare of Elm Streets or Freddy vs. Jason, but she is worried that these may be more graphic. I know some of you have seen the new Dawn and most have seen the originial. Is the gore in these films comparable to what was in the Nightmares or is it more realistic and graphic? I would love to get her to watch these movies.

apparently, there is gore, but the extreme gore had to be cut for ratings reasons.

for the first 10 min of the movie. there is gore and some strong language so see if she'd be up to it.

Haven't seen the new one yet, but be warned that the gore in the original is indeed quite graphic (things like people getting chunks bitten out of them, intestines being pulled out and eaten, heads blown apart, etc. very clearly shown). It has always been a gorehound's delight, as well as a great movie. The film had to be released unrated because of it.

Yeah we saw the first ten minutes, nothing to that. She dosen't mind throats getting ripped, blood and things like that. is the more realistic things. Great example was Hannibal. She couldn't watch the end, and she was botherd by the look of Gary Oldman. Those are the things that get her going. I don't get it, but I'm not her.
