This was my dilemma, too. Se7en is also a viable choice, but the one that I really wish was on there is The Power Of One powerful movie and a very strong performance by Freeman (although I probably still would have gone with Shawshank).

He is usually one of those guys that makes a movie watchable just by appearing in it. If you had asked me last year, I would've said there was no such thing as a bad movie costarring Morgan Freeman. Sadly, Dreamcatcher changed that rule.

Aside from his movies, some have already mentioned his work in "The Electric Company". When I was a lad, that was one of my main shows. I will always have a place in my memory for Easy Reader, the D.J. ("Outasighteous!"), Mark (his character name), and Count Dracula (with Jim Boyd as the Wolfman, and Skip Hinnant as Frankenstein's Monster)
