I'm Still waiting for a Ferris Bueller Sequel.

Would be cool to see him trying to ditch work (maybe after reuniting with his classmates from a high school reunion) and, of course being chased by his Boss. Maybe he could even be a teacher and Rooney could now be The School Superintendant.

Not like Jeffrey Jones has alot going on in his career right now, by the way, anyone know what happened to him? Last thing I saw him in was Devils Advocate.

He got busted for kiddie porn. Not exactly a big boon to one's career I imagine.

The Italian Job (the good one). The ending was left open for a sequel... which they never made.

I much prefer the God version over the Buddha version.

That was suppose to be Patriot Games, but he had a scheduling conflict, so that's when Harrison Ford was brought in. Now they've dumped the franchise down the toilet and completely screwed over Clancy's books with Affleck. Alec Baldwin was the best Jack Ryan. He was the closest to who Jack Ryan actually is in the books (Ford is too goody-goody and Affleck is too, well Affleck). Even Tom Clancy said that he preferred Baldwin to any of the others because he was more accurate to the character.

Too bad we'll never see Alec Baldwin back in the part. It would have been great if he could have stayed on through all of them (and maybe then they wouldn't have screwed up The Sum of All Fears so horribly bad).

The Rock. The ending sets it up for the sequel.

Not a sequel per se - the pilot of a Showtime series based on the film's world (much like that other Carolco film and series, Stargate). Much more Blade Runner knockoff than a true continuation.

Did you listen to Bay's commentary? He sets up a possible sequel. It sounds so utterly pathetic.

Big Trouble in Little China
i recall the initial idea or script for BTiLC was actually intended to be the promised follow up to Buckaroo Banzai.

from imdb:

The first few drafts of the movie's script were known as "Buckaroo Banzai vs. The World Crime League," the proposed sequel to Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension, The (1984). For whatever reason, it was later decided to scrap the proposed sequel. The screenplay was heavily rewritten to become Big Trouble in Little China.

I'm surprised The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension never had a sequel. Although it wasn't a box office hit, it did achieve cult status. I know a series was being developed but that obviously didn't happen (aside from the supplements on the DVD).

I like super hero type movies so even though these where not box office hits i would have liked to have seen sequels for Judge Dredd,The Rocketeer,The Shadow and the Phantom after all Super hero movies with there ongoing adventures are perfect for sequels

Commando.

Loved to see Schwarzenegger back again as Col. John Matrix, plus Alyssa Milano is all grown up now.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit was a franchise gold mine just waiting for someone to flip the switch and start counting all the money. What happened?

Scripts were written, including one where the Toons join together to battle the Nazis during WWII.

"The Toon Platoon" I believe it was called...

It was decided any sequel would be too expensive these days, and Spielberg lost interest long ago in using Nazis as "bad guys."

How about a sequel to Lost in La Mancha, AKA the The Man Who Killed Don Quixote! I hope this happens sometime ever. Ahh, but Johnny Depp is busy doing PotC 2 now . Ah, I still love him.

Although some would consider it to be a mild disappointment at the box office, I'd love to see that Unbreakable trilogy materialize.

That is a big hit in anyones book...

So yes I am surprised that there was not a second one. But I agree with what was mentioned about the TV series...
When your movie costs 55 million to make and only makes 71 million domestically, that's NOT a hit.

Oh yes it is, when you consider overseas and video. Get over yourself...

Since when is only domestic box-office a measuring stick for a flims success?? Pick any Star Trek movie, $30-50 million budgets but they made 10 of them an only 1 made over 100,000,000. Why were all of them considered hits?? Because of DOMESTIC, VIDEO AND OVERSEAS revenues.

I could name countless others but why bother...

I know it's still early, but I'm hoping for "The Passion of the Christ II" Jesus is back and he's angry!! Maybe he can have some type of drill for an arm, and exact revenge on all of the evildoers!
