I'm Still waiting for a Ferris Bueller Sequel.
Would be cool to see him trying to ditch work (maybe after reuniting with his classmates from a high school reunion) and, of course being chased by his Boss. Maybe he could even be a teacher and Rooney could now be The School Superintendant.
Not like Jeffrey Jones has alot going on in his career right now, by the way, anyone know what happened to him? Last thing I saw him in was Devils Advocate.

Too bad we'll never see Alec Baldwin back in the part. It would have been great if he could have stayed on through all of them (and maybe then they wouldn't have screwed up The Sum of All Fears so horribly bad).

Big Trouble in Little China
from imdb:
The first few drafts of the movie's script were known as "Buckaroo Banzai vs. The World Crime League," the proposed sequel to Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension, The (1984). For whatever reason, it was later decided to scrap the proposed sequel. The screenplay was heavily rewritten to become Big Trouble in Little China.

I'm surprised The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension never had a sequel. Although it wasn't a box office hit, it did achieve cult status. I know a series was being developed but that obviously didn't happen (aside from the supplements on the DVD).

I like super hero type movies so even though these where not box office hits i would have liked to have seen sequels for Judge Dredd,The Rocketeer,The Shadow and the Phantom after all Super hero movies with there ongoing adventures are perfect for sequels

"The Toon Platoon" I believe it was called...
It was decided any sequel would be too expensive these days, and Spielberg lost interest long ago in using Nazis as "bad guys."

How about a sequel to Lost in La Mancha, AKA the The Man Who Killed Don Quixote! I hope this happens sometime ever. Ahh, but Johnny Depp is busy doing PotC 2 now . Ah, I still love him.

That is a big hit in anyones book...
So yes I am surprised that there was not a second one. But I agree with what was mentioned about the TV series...

Since when is only domestic box-office a measuring stick for a flims success?? Pick any Star Trek movie, $30-50 million budgets but they made 10 of them an only 1 made over 100,000,000. Why were all of them considered hits?? Because of DOMESTIC, VIDEO AND OVERSEAS revenues.
I could name countless others but why bother...

I know it's still early, but I'm hoping for "The Passion of the Christ II" Jesus is back and he's angry!! Maybe he can have some type of drill for an arm, and exact revenge on all of the evildoers!
