Anyone Seen "A Patch of Blue" With Sidney Poitier?

I just watched this last night and liked it. I'm looking to see if others have seen it and how you enjoyed it--if you did enjoy it.

It's been years but I really enjoyed it. One of my favorite Sidney Poitier movies.

Very solid movie that was considered bold in its time, and one I always enjoy revisiting - especially for Shelly Winters' Oscar-winning performance.

Yeah about Winters...I thought she was just okay in this film. What was so oscar worthy? She's on screen for 30 minutes. I thought the first half was great with her on, but I expected her treatment of Selina to get a lot worse once she found out she was with Gordon. It wasn't really that big of a deal.

I'm not saying Winters was bad. But I'm saying the blind girl and Poitier easily were the best in this film. I guess I just didn't see anything phenomenal out of Winters.

great flick.
Before you speak, ask yourself, is it kind, is it necessary, is it true, does it improve on the silence? Sai Baba
